Light Catcher winery is a gem. I've always walked away with a happy stomach and happy memories. The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate their guests and the food is superb. Stop in for a wine tasting or a full meal...or even both! I can't wait for the weather to warm up so we can take advantage of the... More

My wife and I finally got around to making reservations and driving a bit west of Fort Worth to have dinner at the LightCatcher Winery & Bistro. We expected it to be pretty good, but it surpassed our every expectation. It's rural Texas (even as close to Fort Worth as it is), and jeans, the hat, and boots would be... More

We had a Groupon that was about to expire for LightCatcher Winery & Bistro. We made a reservation for the evening of 1/16/13. It was busy likely because many people were visiting to use their Groupons before the expiration date next week. LightCatcher is a nice place during the winter but I'd bet it's beautiful in the summer. It's a... More

We bought the four course dinner for four group on and were very pleased. The food and service were great. If you are expecting Del Frisco's or Eddie V's you need to do a little research. This is a great restaurant but it is a different style than those. This is a winery, in case you didn't read that in... More

Thank you for your very balanced review - we like balance, just like in a good wine. :-) Thank you also for seeing what we're doing and appreciating us for what we are - as you note, we're not a steak house, we're not downtown, we are unique and we work to put all the factors of atmosphere, wine and... My wife was excited when she purchased a groupon for a steak dinner for 2 to lightcatcher. We had been there before (Valentines 2012) and had a pleasant experience, which confirmed our decision to purchase. I called and set a reservation for 7pm on November 15 for two. We arrived on-time and were informed that we would have to wait... More

We are very sorry your experience was less than great. After reading this review I brought it up to my kitchen and service staff, looking for answers and responses. I don't know that there's much I can say other than we're sorry you didn't tell us while you were here what your problems were. We use top quality beef and... More

We've made The Lucy Dance grape stomping an annual tradition for the women in my family, plus any friends brave enough to dress up & jump in! It's great fun! I really appreciate the staff keeping our water glasses full to make sure everyone is staying hydrated. I'm not actually a huge fan of their wine, but it's okay for... More

Potential Lucys should know our Crush Day/Lucy Dance is a once-a-year event that is scheduled for the third or fourth Saturday in August. We usually get around 200 Lucys. This is a ticketed event and tickets will be offered thru our website at lightcatcher.com/crushday.htm Cheers! More

We visited the Lightcatcher Bistro with family visiting from England. 4 of our party ordered steak.1 steak arrived cooked OK but a little cold, 1 rare steak was raw, another rare steak was overcooked and cold and the medium-well steak was burnt to a crisp. All the steaks were returned to the kitchen 3 times, one of our party refused... More

We are truly sorry that we were unable to satisfactorily accommodate this group of diners. Our goal is to make sure that everybody that enters our establishment leaves satisfied. Since perfection is an unobtainable ideal we do make mistakes from time to time and on those occasions we strive to correct them. The Facts of the event are these: Three... More

I visited the Light Catcher Bistro and Winery recently... I actually thought I was transported to Northern California (having lived there before). The Bistro is built right inside the Winery. The menu was varied and contained a number of items that I'd never seen on a menu before. The service was good...however, remember, this is fine dining, not fast food,... More

Having been to many of D/FW's finest restaurants, I was not expecting much from this bistro located out by Azle. Had a wine tasting before dinner. Had brie and crab cake for appetizers. Had the salmon entree, and creme brûlée. Food was excellent! Service very attentive. Atmosphere casual. Loved the entire experience, and will definitely go again.

Three of us went for eats and a jazz concert. My table mates tried a cheese snack platter and I tried the classic 1/2 lb burger. I think this might have been the best burger I have ever eaten. The snack platter had a lot of variety and plenty for two people. The entertainment was great as well. We will... More
