A very nice experience

The food and service were exceptional... Prices are moderate... and a fabulous view across their reflecting pool. Have a nice glass of wine and enjoy!

A wonderful surprise in the heart of the museum district in Fort Worth. Very modern, beautiful both inside and wonderful views of their contemporary water garden. The menu is a foodies delight...very unexpected in a museum café. This has to be one of the best museum cafes anywhere!

Brunch at the Cafe Modern. Be sure to get seated by the windows overlooking the museum and the lake. Gorgeous view. We started with Ginger Pickled Beets. Numerous thinly sliced beet rounds with a delicious Goat cheese and sunflower brittle (like peanut brittle). Wonderful. Wife had Modern Benedict served with large slices of ham instead of Canadian Bacon. Very Good.... More

One of the most serene dining views in the city. Upscale, innovative menu. Great tasting dishes and attentive service. A great way to take a lunch break on museum day or just wind up there after an afternoon of enjoying the masterpieces for a wonderful dinner.

Cafe Modern is my destination when I have a day off and want to treat myself. It has a unique menu, good service, and a wonderful view of the museum and its outside lake. A bit of a splurge, but well worth it.

Went here based on a friend's gushing recommendation after viewing the impressionism exhibit at the Kimbell across the street. I think they had just changed menus for the season and we had a hard time finding something we wanted which was too bad because the menu I pulled up on the internet before our visit had many items of interest.... The menu was new for the season, and no entree was common. Each dish was given an unique flair. I ordered Texas Sea Bass with saffron and chorizo white bean stew with crispy kale. Oh so good! also had a salad with carmelized Apple curls, and other tasty delights. The dressing was on the side and was quite flavorful! The... More

This cafe is a great little gem. It is located in the museum itself, and it has some rather quirky opening hours (definitely check before going--better yet, call them!). The atmosphere is very relaxed and some tables have a view over the adjacent pond. There was a little bit of a wait, but the staff got us a table within... More
