This is no longer open and not due to the traffic construction. Small, tasteless portions with no atmosphere.

Portions are huge. Love the fried pork chops and twice baked mashed potatoes. Service is quick and most hometown feeling restaurant we've experienced in Texas. Save room for dessert as the double fudge chocolate cake waiting for you at checkout can't be resisted (so big that my 2 boys and I share it).

The North Tarrant Express project killed it. You can't run a cafe' with no customers, and the highway department closed off all access to it. The owners said they might come back after the mess is cleared.

Great diner easy access, great food, and great service...anything from traditional breakfasts with biscuits and gravy to a bit of a tex-mex combo is good! Do not count your calories here! The servings are ample, the service sweet, and the wait was not too long!

Great service, food was good, customers were not, but that sure wasn't the restaurant's fault. I'll come back.

Dixie House is a locally owned multi-location comfort food eatery. They do serve dinner, but the largest part of their customer base comes there for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is always over-portioned for a middle aged man, but I cannot tell you that the food isn't good. They buy good ingredients, such as their extra thick bacon slices, and they... More

It's been a long time since we've gone to Dixie House because of the strange hours (maybe these have changed by now). Food is great, pie is outstanding, but make sure you check their hours of operation before you go!

We should have eaten here every day instead of the awful hotel restaurant, large portions and good service
