We stopped in here after a trip to Austin and stood in line for about 10 minutes before we got to order. Once we ordered we got our food fast and it was delicious. I had the smoked turkey which was amazing, everyone else had brisket and said it was good. I missed their beans - no one told us... More

30 minute wait for prepared plain BBQ. Not on my list for a return. It was ok, just not wowed! Service should be faster.

Stopped in for a quick bite on the wasy to Austin. Had the chopped beef sandwich. It was rather like a sloppy Joe. But a very good, flavorful sloppy Joe! The place was packed. Was around 1:00pm on a Friday. Will try the other Elgin BBQ place next time to compare. Paid $4 for the sandwich. Would go again!

This was my first time at Meyer's, and I was very pleased. The portions are generous and the price was very cheap considering other BBQ places in Texas. The brisket was tender and the sausage had just the right amount of spice. I had the coleslaw and pinto beans, and both were quite tasty. You can choose honey bbq sauce... More

We've often been to Southside Market, so we thought we'd try the cross-town competition, just for variety. I learned too late that the sausage served at the counter (as opposed to in the butcher case) is mild and rather boring. The ribs and brisket we're all right, nothing special. The best thing I tasted was a pork steak, a somewhat... More

1 star because the food taste great! Everything else is poor. I decided to stop here on my way back to college station. It all started with the poor/weird layout of the restaurant then I waited in line for 45 minutes, got to the counter and the girl was rude and slow. I saw a sign behind her register that... More

We visited Meyer's between rush times, but the service was completely at rest. The sausage was the best thing we ate, but it was only average. As in most Texas BBQ locations, the sides are inconsequential.

Living in Texas we eat a lot of bar-b-que. With that said, Meyer's is my favorite sausage. The brisket is goo also. The establishment is always friendly and has friendly staff and clean place to eat.

Having heard a lot about this place, we decided to try it. Being from the South we are BBQ lovers and experts. While Texas likes their beef BBQ, we 're all about pork in the South. Knowing that Myers had pulled pork on their menu, we decided to visit and try it. BAD mistake! We both ordered the Pulled Pork... More
