Trattoria Lisina sits out amongst the farms and ranch land in Driftwood, TX. The setting is pastoral and a little surreal as you pass fields of vineyards making the approach to the restaurant. The wine list has all sorts of treats . . . not the least of which is a red flight which uses the same type of grapes... More

We drove out of our way to go there. It was pretty, looked over a fountain and the vineyard. I found they tried to push 4 courses on you. I found my food inedible. My husbands lasagna was homemade. Fresh peaches over homemade ice cream was OK. Would not go there again.

We like to try a new winery or two every time we go on a 'wine weekend'. We were very happy to end our weekend trip with this wonderful cuisine. My girlfriend had a seafood pasta dish and I had a fettucini and mushroom dish. They were exquisite. The venue is perfectly situated, with a vineyard out front, just beyond... More

If you want ambiance, this is the place. Ask for a table overlooking the lovely gardens. Wine menu was extensive as you would expect. Pork & lamb chops were nicely done as ordered. Salad was fresh without being overloaded with dressing. Side were enough of a change to be enticing. Tiramisu was the best I've had outside of Italy. I... More

My husband and I recently went to Trattoria Lisina for a special occasion. As usual, it did not disappoint! The setting, in the middle of a small vineyard in Driftwood, TX, is beautiful and picturesque. The food is always excellent and the staff professional and friendly. They handle intimate tables and large groups with equal finesse, while the ambiance provides... More

Have intended for probably 3 years to get out to Mandolo's in Driftwood. Spent 2 days & nites at a heavenly place outside Wimberly, and on the way back to Austin decided to see if we could get an early lunch. Since it was Friday we were in luck, and 3 hours later rolled out on our way home! Words... More

We visited on a weeknight with a large party (11). Service was good. Large wine selection and helpful suggestions from our waiter. The menu encourages you to order an app, a primi, and another entree. Totally unnecessary: salad and entree are plenty; I even had the primi as my entree and it was more than I could finish. The Brussels... More

Some friends and I had heard of this place and decided to check it out. We were so glad we did. It is absolutely gorgeous! If you love Italy or would like to go, you can get a taste here. The grounds were so colorful with lots of gardens and flowers blooming. There is a water feature that was being... More

My husband and I had dinner at Trattoria Lisina. For dinner, we had two appetizers; Frittelle al Carciofi and Bruschetta al Checca. Our entrees were Pollo al Marsala and Lonza di Maiale Arrosto. Our sides were mixed Italian salad and Creamy Polenta. Everything was very tasty. The atmosphere was elegant and relaxing. After dinner, we had pineapple and cherry ice... More

The Mandola name immediately brings to mind good food, but Trattoria Lisina exceeded our high expectations last weekend. We had a group of 22 and everyone had wonderful things to say about the restaurant, the food and the staff. Thanks Jett for making it such a great event! All of the food was incredible, but the pasta dishes and the... More
