We drove 60 miles in search of this restaurant based upon a friend's recommendation. It is located 9 miles outside of Wimberly in a beautiful peaceful setting. The decor is beautiful and the service was outstanding. Ask for Paul to be your server. We had eggplant Parmasean and spaghetti in garlic and butter. I shared both with my friend which... More

What a beautiful place as you drive up, and then once you are inside and the door closes, the magic is gone...the noise level was so bad we couldn't hear ourselves think, let along talk! This was supposed to a romantic restaurant away from the maddening crowds of Austin, well the crowds were right there with us, and it was... More

You are paying for the ambiance of being at the winery. The food is excellent, but in a bigger city you would get the same quality and taste for at least 30%l less. They are going to change the menu and renovate soon. So our server told us. We had the beef rib and fish special and bread appetizer. No... More

Trattoria Lisina is a special occasion restaurant set in a vineyard in the Texas Hill Country and we take out-of-town visitors there to see how beautiful Texas is. The service is great, and I love the risotto - many different flavors but always great. Service is good, but the restaurant can get very loud. We prefer sitting on the porch,... More

Over the past five years I've been to Trattoria Lisina at least 7 times. This restaurant remains moderately expensive and yet serves mediocre food. Yes, the location and restaurant is quite charming, but that just doesn't forgive the food. I belong to a dinner group and we decided to try the restaurant again this December. Out of the eight couples... More

I've lived in Austin for seven years and have been going to Trattoria Lisina regularly for much of that time, and it is still one of my favorite places in the Hill Country. The setting is just stunning. The restaurant and adjacent winery overlook the vineyards and rolling hills. It really feels like you are in Tuscany. There is a... More

What a great discovery! we visited Wimberly briefly and then went on to lunch at this restaurant that had been highly recommended by family. It did not disappoint, food was great and the wonderful atmosphere accompanied with great weather made for a great afternoon. A definite visit again very soon.

Whilst in the hill County for a wedding - who isn't? - we asked at our hotel for a good restaurant in the area and were pointed in the direction of Trattoria Lisina. Now, we love Italian food as I am Italian and we have lived in Italy for many years. This means we are very picky and extremely sceptical... More

we celebrated my son's wedding here for dinner. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and provided a great backdrop for photos. The menu is varied and reasonable. we were a party of 17 guests, yet the waitstaff gave us excellent attention and service. I tried the pork scalippini, it was absolutely wonderful and a large portion. there was a very nice... More

I used Trattoria Lisina as the reception venue for my wedding on October 19th. From the event coordinator, Jett, to our waitstaff the day of the wedding, the entire experience was memorable! Every single one of my guests raved about how amazing the food was, how beautiful the restaurant was, how wonderful the waitstaff was (and how attentive they were!)... More
