Worth the trip / Make reservations

The food here was surprisingly exceptional, for being out in the country. Everyone was satisfied with their order, and I thought the waitstaff was great. The hostesses were quite busy, but also seemed pretty unorganized/flustered. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation because I heard them tell people there was a 75 minute wait.

After a day spent touring the Hill Country DH & I finished off the day dining at the lovely Trattoria Lisina. It had been recommended by a brother-in-law who lives in Austin. We had arrived early - about 4:30 and on a Tuesday. We were seated by the windows overlooking the front patio. It had already been a lovely day... More

This was my second visit to the restaurant and it was just as delicious as the first time. The food is so good. I recommend the asparagus salad, so amazing. Excited to plan my next visit back. Definitely worth going to.

We've been several times. This place has it all: A beautiful setting (come early and enjoy a glass of wine from the adjacent winery on the grounds). Great food! I recommend the osso buco. And the antipasto mixto. And the hot Italian donuts for dessert. Friendly, attentive service from people who really enjoy working there. Not pretentious at all. Very... More

I stumbled onto this venue as my destination was the Duchman Winery next door. This proved to be a delightful Sunday afternoon diversion with stellar service, two great bottles of wine, creative salads and perfectly prepared steak, wood grilled asparagus, mushroom fettuccine, fresh made focaccia and the best coconut cream pie I have ever tasted. A wonderful experience in every... More

Five star food. Three star service. My boyfriend took me here for a special dinner. We did have reservations which was good as there was a LOT of people there and it was a Saturday night. The drive out was nice and the restaurant was lovely. They had a fire going which was nice as the day had been rainy... More

I really enjoy the food, wine and service here. Between the vineyard, the hill country view and the beautiful architecture the ambiance is hard to beat. I've been going to this restaurant since 2009 and have seen many changes, but its always met my expectations. They have a little playground for the kids and a bocce ball court that you can... More

We thank our friends who told us about this place. It is located half way between our house and daughter's in Austin so it works great for dinners out. I have written a review before but this past visit demands that I again brag this place up. The setting is great located with the Duchman Vineyards nearby and a beautiful... More

We were staying in the Driftwood/Dripping Springs area and decided to visit a winery that we had not been to in several years. At the time we first visited it was called Mandola vineyards, but has since changed to Duchman wineries, the restaurant is still owned by Damian Mandola, the creator of Carraba's restaurants. The atmosphere was very nice, the... More

The atmosphere of a restaurant on the grounds of a vineyard is very nice. Since this is owned by the creator of the Carabba's chain, it has a similar look inside- open kitchen, etc., but a little more upscale. The menu and wine/ beer list is very nice. The food was Very good, and the service was both timely and... More
