If you want to experience great BBQ, this is the place to go in Texas. The food is great the prices are fair and worth it. I highly recommend the bottomless option as it gives you the opportunity to try a few different cuts of meat.

We have eaten there many times and cannot complain. This review is about our last visit following my MA graduation in the afternoon on Saturday May 11, 2013. I picked this location because I wanted to have a relaxing time and fun with my husband and friends after I went through the formal commencement. They have live music during weekends,...

As we set of on our push bikes from Austin in search of the world famous salt lick we just couldn't wait to get there and eat. We had seen salt lick on man v food some time ago and travelled from England to see if it was the real McCoy... IT WAS!!

We showed up on our Harleys drenched from the heavy down poor of rain we were getting to this bbq oasis. The staff was quick to help us find a place to dry off and even put our name in to be called sooner for a table since we were drenched and probably looked pretty rough. The food was amazing...

Great BBQ with my favorite BBQ sauces (both original and spicy) with BYOB (saves $) and with great ranch-like atmosphere. The only reason I don't want to review this is because you might add to my wait in line! I'm a Texan and have eaten a lot of BBQ in a lot of places and the Salt Lick is wonderful....

My wife is from Texas and we've traveled extensively and this is simply the best BBQ we've ever eaten anywhere! It's a great setting and even though there can be huge crowds, they still get you seated and served as fast as they can.
Plus, they let you BYOB and food if you'd like. One of our friends is a...

I enjoyed the BYOB, no line...

First stop was the restaurant, great big room with huge picnic tables. Limited menu which was fine as you are there for BBQ. Didn't know about the BYOB so we just had water. Once we ordered, the food came out in what seemed like seconds. After lunch, we went next door to the wine bar. The setting like that seemed...

We drive the 20 miles or so to this place every time we are in Austin. There are other places to have great bbq but driving there makes it all feel more Texan! Food is great and if you do not mind the rushed service, the staff is wonderful. Make sure you buy your booze before you get there.
