Long time family owned restaurant. Recently remodeled. We eat there regularly and have never been disappointed with food or service. This a hidden gem in Denton. They will personalize your order as desired--just ask!

I love the salsa and cheese with chips they serve. I ordered the vaquero plate, it was pretty good. My girlfriend ordered the fajitas and it looked really good. The tacos al carbon were pretty tasty.

My husband and I went to have lunch with our children at Mazatlan. We were seated by the manager without menus. After sitting for 10 minutes without being spoken to by any of the 4 servers that had passed by our table the manager came back and gave us our menus without saying a word and then returned with a... The service was stellar here. The food wasn't bad, it just wasn't anything special. I was expecting to be wowed by Mexican food in Texas, but this was pretty average. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

Service was great, food was terrible. The queso tasted like the cheese from my boxed mac n' cheese dinner - which wasn't the terrible part, it was just strange. I had the lunch fajitas, and there were no bell peppers, just onion and chicken. The chicken was very flavorful, but the corn tortillas were stale, the beans were bland, and... More

We are from out of town and wanted good Mexican food for dinner. We chose this restaurant from reviews online. So glad we did. The service was beyond excellent and the food was amazing. Refried beans nummy! Fajitas and chicken and bacon flautas were our choices but the menu was loaded with delicious choices. Would definitely go again if we... More

Service is the high point at this restaurant. Food was just average. We shared fajitas, which had no flavor or spice to them. They needed to be cooked on a hotter fire to give them more grilled flavor--they seemed like they had been steamed and then put on the sizzling platter. Sides were just so-so. We had read reviews that... More

While staying in Denton at the Old Irish B&B, we had supper here and really enjoyed it. Our food and service were both very good. We would return without a doubt!

This place is small but homey and the service and food is spectacular for the price! Their Steak Mexicana is to die for! We own the Old Irish Bed and Breakfast inn Denton and recommend Mazatlan to our guests and always receive mucho muy Buenos from them!

Worst Mexican food I have ever eaten. Pre cooked store bought food... Bagged chips and canned cheese. Very disappointed and feel very mislead by other reviews.
