Nice Place!

Very nice restaurant. Was packed at lunch on a Wednesday. Chips and salsa very good. Salsa not spicy at all but great taste. Lunch specials run around $6.99, fajatas ran $8+. I had a puffed taco and a chicken enchilada. Enchilada was good, didn't care for the puffed taco. It was a flat corn... read more

Been here twice and both times the experience was very good. The chips are light and crisp, the salsa is a bit heavy on the tomatoes but still quite tasty. I had the vegetable fajitas, each time. It comes with a healthy portion of onions, zucchini, mushrooms, bell pepper, tomatoes and broccoli all served on a sizzling fajita pan. It... More

Stopped in for quick lunch, run of the mill Mexican food, it was good, but nothing to brag about. Service was okay and the beer very cold. If you are craving nothing special, this is a great place.

We went at lunch and the prices of the entrees were all around or under $10. The service is fast and the food is good and filling. Love their salsa which actually tastes like salsa and not tomato sauce. Conveniently located in a strip shopping mall on University Boulevard near an Albertson's grocery, a Walmart, a Ross, a Five Below,... More

I went here for a quick dinner, and it was that, but not anything special. I had the Platillo Sur which has 3 different types of of enchiladas: cheese, chicken and beef. They were filling, but extremely flavorful. Same goes for the rice and beans, Chips and salsa were good, though. Service was excellent.

8/22/2014 My family of 3 came here for dinner while visiting. First, I must say out of all the Mexican restaurants we visited we were very impressed how we were give individual bowls of chips and salsa. Second, The food and prices were good: peach tea...$2.50, iced tea...$1.99...jalepenos Rellenos...$8.50, Nachos Tex-Mex...$7.95 Fajitas la Villa w/beef & Chicken $11.99(but for that... More

We stopped by Villa Grande on our way out of town for a short weekend getaway. We were fairly impressed. The service was a bit slow but we contribute that to a new waiter in training. I highly recommend the puffed tacos and queso. My husband ordered the brisket quesadillas and they were okay at best. A little greasy and... More

My boss and I were looking for a good, quick dinner. Villa Grande was recommended by the desk at the nearby Marriott Hotel, and it did not disappoint. I had the grilled burrito with brisket and she had the mini tacos with brisket. Very, very good. Our server gave us just the right amount of attention - there right on... More

Let me preface my review by saying that living in the Dallas area means that our Tex Mex standards are quite high. With that said - we had dinner here. The drinks were good, the service attentive. The complementary Salsa, which in my opinion is a good predictor of the meal to follow was not good. Not surprisingly the food... More

This restaurant has wonderful food and great customer service. One of my friends and I don't like really spicy salsa. They make a special salsa for us. The three of us are seniors and we order from the child's menu most of the time. They recently upgraded their menus with larger print. You are greeted immediately. We always ask for... More
