I've eaten at this diner a couple of times and the food here is not what it's reputation says it is. I usually have the chicken friend steak, ( just ok but not that special), mashed potatoes (very good), baked squash (good), carrots (good) and rolls. It isn't expensive just a good place to grab a bit if you want... More

There was nothing too special about this joint. I appreciate diners that have been around for a long time, but the food needs to be good. I had the meatloaf, salad, broccoli and coleslaw. Meatloaf was dry and the gravy on top was watery. Salad was floating in dressing, broccoli was steamed well but nothing on it (salt, pepper, butter)... More

Place to go if you want a really good chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken. The wait staff is very nice, and I almost only see the regulars go there.

Thought we'd found a good restaurant with good chicken fried steak. We were wrong. The CFS was below average: small and tough. Cole slaw was good. Mashed potatoes were average. Price was high: 2 CFS lunches & iced tea for $24.

Had lunch here with a business associate. This is a locally owned simple restaurant that has a good breakfast menu and good food. They also serve lunch and I believe dinner. Seems to be a place where a lot of locals go as the waitresses were addressing some of the patrons by name and asking if they want their regular... More

If you're looking for southern, home-cooking, comfort food you've come to the right place. I used to work near Kel's so we would go there for lunch once & a while. It's good, but heavy.

Yummy diner food. And I mean yummy. Do not let the outside or inside for that matter scare you away. Their breakfast is to die for! Any of it. I'm hungry thinking about it!

Service was adequate. The Salad dressing was very good and we enjoyed the salads, but then it stopped. The Chicken fried steak was overcooked. THe Chicken fried steak was mostly chicken fried and very little steak. Both were bland. THe vegetables were another thing altogether... Cold broccoli which had been cooked to mush along with a cols slimy Summer Squash... More

Yes, it's home cooked, but from your mom's cooking in the 1970's. Everything tasted great, but when you are used to fresh green beans and spinach, the canned versions just don't hold their own, even with bacon. The waitress was great, but overtaxed, she was the only one. The rolls were mmm, mmm. I think it is probably a better... More

Ate there while attending bowl game on Jan 1. Selected this place after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. My complaint with this is that my food was not hot when served like it should have been (not many customers when we arrived). Maybe due to holiday they had limited staff for New Year's day ?? or they had a rough New... More
