The sandwiches are worth the trip alone! They have the best meatballs around, and I love their bulk Italian sausages (mild and spicy). They also have an excellent selection of pastas from NY and Chicago, and great prices on canned tomatoes. Tons of great Italian wines, and lots of Texas produce. And lots of Italian cookies, candy. They frequently host... More

We love this place. They have some of the best meat balls, you can buy them by the pound. They have all kinds of wine, and when they do have them, they have great canollis.!!! They do also have a really good deli with all kinds of frest meats and cheeses, they will also make fresh to order sandwiches.!!!

Best Italian wines in town. Wine pairing was delish! I have now attended 7 of Jimmy's wine pairings and each time I have to ask for a doggie bag. Pasta is always so good! The wine reps are very well educated regarding their wines and have no problem answering questions. I would suggest replying immediately for the pairings. Before the... More

I found this place on trip advisor and am glad I did. The roast pork with broccoli rab was excellent and well priced. The bread had a nice crust and soft inside texture. The staff was helpful and friendly. A real treat for lunch on the road.

Being an Italian Citizen and from the Northeast, I am familiar with Italian food, markets,etc.. The market is nice for the south and is an oasis for Italians in the area. The market should have more prepared foods then just a couple of sandwiches and olives. The sandwich i had was poor to fair at best. The amount of meat... More

This little grocer and restaurant is much more than meets the eye! It has such a unique and special feel to it. The people are super friendly. We ordered sandwiches and didn't have a place to sit, then we found out they have a special large backroom with extra seating beyond the kitchen. It had a romantic down to earth... More

Don't expect a big fancy grocery and deli. Jimmy's is a long time favorite old neighborhood store with a great selection of homemade and imported Italian food. Their house-made sausages are the best. It's always a treat to shop and discover something new. I don't consider it a restaurant. It's a small grocery.

The store is great, but so far to be the #3 in TripAdvisor!!! First of all, where in the world you see a place that is called an "Italian" restaurant and don't have a pasta!?!?!? Just got away...

I live in Austin, and on a recent trip to Dallas, I went to Jimmy's (thanks to reviews here) for the first time. I would drive to Dallas for no other reason than to go to Jimmy's. The sandwiches were amazing, as were the meatballs -- I wish I'd bought a dozen packages of those. Poking around the aisles and... More

What an amazing grocery store and eatery! There is no limit to the pastas, condiments, frozen pizza, pizza dough, olive oils, sauces, wine, homemade ice creams of all flavors, frozen gourmet cookie dough, meat market, seasonings, etc! And if you like root beer there must be 10 different kinds as well as other specialty drink brands. The sandwiches are huge so... More
