Great pizza, nice atmosphere.

This place was crazy busy. The service was incredible and the food was excellent. We tried three different entrees and they were all excellent. The pizza, the eggplant and the penne vodka. Would definitely go back.

You have to eat here. The pizza is great! There are always good prices on wine too. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is friendly. The other food options are really good too. All this in a really cool part of uptown Dallas.

At a very cold afternoon my friends and I arrived at coal vine and ordered different pastas and pizza; I must say I don't know which I liked better because both my pasta and pizza were absolutely fabulous; our server was very attentive and our food and wine arrived quite fast to be honest. I really liked it and recommend... More

Stopped for our first visit there ever, and they actually had the doors open, which was weird for Dallas amongst the humidity, etc...anyway, we ordered and waited quite awhile, wishing we were in the A/C. Got our food, and it wasn't terrible, it just wasn't "all that." Got to learn to ask the waiters for what they would recommend. Will... More

I have lived in uptown for over a year and had never been to Coal Vines. I stopped there on Saturday with a friend around 9pm. We sat at the bar and split a spicy meatball pizza. We both loved it. It is the kind of then crust pizza i like. two problems, not much in the way of meatballs... More

The pizza we have loved was not good. The sauce and texture was off. Our salads and service was good, however we did not see the gentleman who is usually seated near the bar (I think he is the owner). That could be the reason for the pizza not being as good as usual. I hope he is still there.... More

I decided to try Coal's for lunch so I could enjoy the restaurant without having to fight the Saturday night crowds...hey, the cooks have time to do it right without being rushed, right? We'll...no. I had a White Special pizza was eminently forgettable. Further,I was looking for a wine list hat would differentiate itself from the other Addison restaurants in... More

We've eaten at both locations and both experiences were positive. We've only had dinners here, not brunch. We like the Margherita, Spicy Meatball, and Regular Pie. My husband really liked the BBQ pizza at the Prestonwood location. The atmosphere seems more adult geared than for little kids.

I have never had a bad pizza here. The setting is small, dim lights, and always busy. Great people watching, but get there early. If you are looking for pizza then you should try this place.

Great atmosphere in uptown. It was Father's Day evening. We saw people that came in after us and left before us, and all of them ordered pizza. We, however, ordered, the saffron risotto, the eggplant parmesan and the mussels. After waiting about 45 minutes for our food, the server finally came to check on us, saying there was some mis-communication... More
