The pizza we have loved was not good. The sauce and texture was off. Our salads and service was good, however we did not see the gentleman who is usually seated near the bar (I think he is the owner). That could be the reason for the pizza not being as good as usual. I hope he is still there.... More

I decided to try Coal's for lunch so I could enjoy the restaurant without having to fight the Saturday night crowds...hey, the cooks have time to do it right without being rushed, right? We'll...no. I had a White Special pizza was eminently forgettable. Further,I was looking for a wine list hat would differentiate itself from the other Addison restaurants in... More

We've eaten at both locations and both experiences were positive. We've only had dinners here, not brunch. We like the Margherita, Spicy Meatball, and Regular Pie. My husband really liked the BBQ pizza at the Prestonwood location. The atmosphere seems more adult geared than for little kids.

I have never had a bad pizza here. The setting is small, dim lights, and always busy. Great people watching, but get there early. If you are looking for pizza then you should try this place.

Great atmosphere in uptown. It was Father's Day evening. We saw people that came in after us and left before us, and all of them ordered pizza. We, however, ordered, the saffron risotto, the eggplant parmesan and the mussels. After waiting about 45 minutes for our food, the server finally came to check on us, saying there was some mis-communication... More

Coal Vines is always one of my pizza go-tos when I am in Uptown. They make an excellent brick oven pie that is consistently good. They are centrally located and easy to walk to, and are often full but due to the nature of pizza, can turn tables pretty quickly. They also have a great wine list with a knowledgeable... More

I really could not say it was excellent but it definitely will not disappoint. I tried three various styles from there and all were good but not spectacular. So they can join the ranks of Fireside Pies, Grimaldi's, Cane Rosso, Campisi's. All very good pizzas.

I checked this place out last night and really enjoyed it. The ambiance was very warm and inviting and opens to the outside, which is a nice touch. The wine was great, for starters. I had the Malbec. I also started with a kale salad that was very good, and I had the original pizza with some veggie toppings. I... More

Go here after a long work day of business travel. Good for winding down with associates. Pizza all around was good. Seemed to be made with fresh ingredients. Crust is thin for those that care. 3 pizzas was enough for 6 people. Wine and beer flows and the service was great.
