Nothing fancy just great burgers

This is place is a little whole in the wall that serves terrific burgers. Nothing fancy or too creative---just good old fashioned lettuce tomato and pickle type burgers. All the burgers are made to order so you don't have to worry about them being old or not up to standard. Not from the area but... read more

I know those hipster burgers are popular right now with things like feta cheese and spinach lettuce but I haven't been able to get on that band wagon. I like the classic with meat, cheese, lettuce and pickles, and nobody beats Burger House at a classic burger. Parking can be hard to find since it's right next to Snyder Plaza... More

We couldn't agree more! Glad to hear we're on the same level, and despite the parking hassle, we're thrilled you've found us to be worth the trouble. Can't wait to celebrate the classic burger with you again. -- Angelo and Chris, Owners More

Need I say more? Went here based on Trip Advisor reviews. Usually LOVE the unique restaurants in this lovely SMU area of Snyder Plaza, but this place was a SERIOUS dump. And I am all for hole in the wall places. But not this one! Smelled like pee when we walked in and the burgers/tray they were delivered on smelled... More

We're truly sorry to hear we didn't meet your expectations this visit. We always aim to keep our facilities clean, so it's unusual for us to hear this sort of feedback. Our fries and season salt are usually a big hit, but we can definitely understand that people have different preferences when it comes to salt. We're always happy to... More

this is a great place to enjoy a super burger- future heart attacks be damned! Right across from SMU you can get a old fashioned (think 1940s joint) made to order greasy cheese burger with fresh cut french fried potatoes with a heavy does of salt/pepper and what is probably MSG. Jeans and t shirt required- although I did see... More

Burger House is a total throw back. Good greasy burger and heavily salted fries. Maybe throw in a milk shake and you feel like you are a kid again.

Found Burger House on a list of the Best College Burgers, and since we were in town visiting SMU - we figured why not? The location makes it very easy to find. It's kind of a throwback to a old diner. The patties are thin (get the double burger) but they pack some flavor! As good as the burger was,... More

This is what you think of when you imagine a small burger diner from the 50's. I have been eating here for over 35 years, that should say something. There secret fry salt is awesome. Food is consistently good. We tried to keep it a Park Cities secret for years, but the word got out.

Burger house has been a favorite from my childhood. I believe that it is the food that matters, not the presentation. Burger House is just like this. The place is far from fancy, but the food is outstanding. The burgers are thin, the cheese is always melting, and the fries are phenomenal. The "secret" spices are what send it over... More

This hole in the wall place is situated on the outside edge of Snyder Plaza, which has a totally different vibe than the East side of Central Expressway. Lots of families and students looking for a great grilled burger and garlicy fries. Cheap and tasty.
