If you love burgers and are prepping for a heart attack

this is a great place to enjoy a super burger- future heart attacks be damned! Right across from SMU you can get a old fashioned (think 1940s joint) made to order greasy cheese burger with fresh cut french fried potatoes with a heavy does of salt/pepper and what is probably MSG. Jeans and t shirt... read more

Burger House is a total throw back. Good greasy burger and heavily salted fries. Maybe throw in a milk shake and you feel like you are a kid again.

Found Burger House on a list of the Best College Burgers, and since we were in town visiting SMU - we figured why not? The location makes it very easy to find. It's kind of a throwback to a old diner. The patties are thin (get the double burger) but they pack some flavor! As good as the burger was,... More

This is what you think of when you imagine a small burger diner from the 50's. I have been eating here for over 35 years, that should say something. There secret fry salt is awesome. Food is consistently good. We tried to keep it a Park Cities secret for years, but the word got out.

Burger house has been a favorite from my childhood. I believe that it is the food that matters, not the presentation. Burger House is just like this. The place is far from fancy, but the food is outstanding. The burgers are thin, the cheese is always melting, and the fries are phenomenal. The "secret" spices are what send it over... More

This hole in the wall place is situated on the outside edge of Snyder Plaza, which has a totally different vibe than the East side of Central Expressway. Lots of families and students looking for a great grilled burger and garlicy fries. Cheap and tasty.

Burger House is one of the main reasons I liked going to Dallas to visit my friends during the five years they lived there. In fact, it's probably the only thing I miss about visiting there. The burgers here are admittedly much more like fast food than you might expect, but they're hardly flavorless like the chains.

There are two secrets to the flavor of the food at The Burger House: 1. The grill has been "seasoned" by 30+ years of cooking. 2. The special salt (available for purchase) is liberally sprinkled on the meat and fries. Don't expect anything but a classic Park Cities local hangout. There is enough dining space on the inside (Executive Dining... More

Been going to Burger House for 35 years and three things are always consistent: burger and fries are perfection and the place is a total dive! Seriously, there are no better fries on the planet! Their special seasoning is so good, we buy it for our home and put it on eggs, hash browns, chicken, etc. Their patties are very... More
