We enjoyed Toulouse Cafe for the second time today. The brunch was wonderful. The location on Knox adjacent to the Katy trail is perfect. The open walls of the patio allowed us to savor the fresh air. The food was as good as ever. I enjoyed the roasted salmon with spinach and lentils. My daughter found the chicken to be... More

This is the place to go if you want a true French bistro experience. Expect to see well-dressed Dallasites dining near people fresh off the Katy Trail. I bring my little poodles so I can feel like Catherine Deneuve sitting on the patio in a French film. It's also a terrific rendezvous spot for the hopelessly romantic.

For my birthday while in Dallas it was no choice but here. Have been twice before and liked better each time. I split mussels with my son for a starter (about six choices all excellent). Tender and full of flavor. Then a house salad with house dressing. Perfect. Then had the Dover sole. It is grilled and deboned table side.... More

My wife and I had a very enjoyable dinner at this restaurant. Everything is very well prepared and the service is excellent. If you go, you have to try the Pimm's Cup drink. It is a great springtime and summer drink but they are so good we get it year round. The French Onion soup comes out in a cast... More

Dallas has very few French restaurants and Toulouse was recommended to me to try. I am glad I stopped by. The salads were excellent and the trout almandine ( I know, trite; but hey, it's a French restaurant) was delicious! I am told to try the lobster bisque on my next visit!

Before eating at Toulouse, we stopped by in the afternoon (it is next to the lovable Katy Trail, where we were strolling on a warm winter day). We were not planning to eat out that day, but we asked to see the menu and talked with the very charming, intelligent, helpful hostess, a woman whose life has brought her from... More

We have never had a bad meal. I often get a steak and my wife gets fish. The patio is nice if the weather is comfortable.

This is one of my favorite restaurants but if it had been the first time I had gone, it would be the last time. I told the host, Serge, that I didn't want to sit in the back of the restaurant by the restrooms and he very rudely told me that I'd have to wait 45 min. to an hour.... More

We literally stumbled upon this restaurant. I'm so glad we did. We ate here for brunch and it was excellent. It started with super friendly and attentive service. We ate outside at our request and were given suggestions about the menu. I had the best French toast. Delicious!! The menu had several great choices so I had a hard time... More

Dallas has so few restaurants that have that charm of a neighborhood hangout that readily welcomes all comers. Terrific indoor and outdoor seating options at the end of Knox next to the Katy Trail create a sense of place with the feel it has served generations of customers. The food is well prepared and prices reasonable. The steak and frittes,... More
