If you are coming here, it is for the fine dining and ready to not look at the price tag.... The pallete cleansers and little snacks are amusing... But portions dicate you will have a desert at least to share...

Had my first visit to Stephan Pyles on 2/20/15. I brought a client here for lunch. The three of us had such an awesome experience that I immediately made a reservation to bring my wife on the following Friday evening for dinner. When we arrived for dinner, I pretty much gave the waitress free reign to suggest their signature dishes.... More

When our friends suggested Stephan Pyles for our dinner club setting this month I was apprehensive after looking at the menu on line. The menu seemed a little too "food network" for me, but I was wrong. I found the food expertly prepared, and delicious. I had the crusted sea bass and my wife had the duck breast, both were... More

Myself and another person in my party had a tamale tart appetizer and brandzino for a main course. We had never heard of this Mediterranean sea bass. Another person had a steak which he thought was one of the best he had ever eaten.

Very good food and very attentive service. We have been here many, many times since they opened. It is consistently good. It is walking distance to the Winspear opera house. If you want a long luxurious meal, you can do that; if your trying to make a performance, you can do that too. Fantastic atmosphere, beautiful restaurant.

First, let me just say that the service is on par with The French Room or Al Biernat's without being snooty or pretentious. The wife and I stopped by for a light meal and cocktails before we went to go see a show (Book of Mormon) on Valentine's Day. We decided to go with the short-rib and brussels sprout flatbread... We were stuck in Dallas because of storms back on the east coast. Imagine Valentine's Day and I'm dining with my CFO partner... Not romantic but we had fun at Stephan Pyle's. At first bummed out to see a Valentine's Day price fixed limited menu.., but given the amount of diners out on this night we decided to stick it... More

Enjoyed a terrific meal here with 6 colleagues. Service was attentive, ambiance was nice, food was creative and different. Choices of meat, fish and chicken abounded. We had one vegetarian in our group who found the choices a bit difficult. Overall would return.

The ambiance says it all. Great atmosphere, the menu is superb, although it does make it a little difficult to make a choice. The wine was outstanding. The service and attention to detail from the staff was amazing. The exact experience you would expect from a 4+ star restaurant.

This was our second visit to the restaurant in four years and nice to see that the quality has not gone down. Excellent food and nice ambiance, pleasant change to be somewhere where you can actually have a conversation and hear and be heard. We had a dozen oysters to start with although only 10 were on the plate however... More
