Squid pasta SUPERB

Flew into Love Field and friends took us to their favorite restaurant. Salum Outside not great inside very nice. Think Paris or Singapore We first had the truffle pate. Just outstanding. Silky smooth, flavorful, again think you are at a 3 star Michelin in France. Yet not the high prices. I had... read more

Maybe we just hit them on an off night, but we were fairly unimpressed with the food. It was presented beautifully, but the taste was nothing special. Prices were on the high side, so we definitely expected better. Service was good as was the atmosphere. I might give it another try in the future.

My friends were quite excited to take me a hot-spot of theirs. But while it's a very cozy space in an ugly strip mall, I must say, it just didn't live up to the hype. I did note Salum won lots of awards some years back. I'm used to paying big-city prices, but I expect high quality and good service... More

Visited Salum as a pre-theatre meal. I had great truffled pate and a truly wonderful squid ink pasta with seafood including shrimp, mussels, scallops. Probably the best seafood pasta dish I've ever had. Others had the sea bass and all thought the dish was exceptional. Wine choices were broad and by the glass options were plenty. One can certainly see... More

I love to eat here. The lunch is superb and the menu changes often. They have the best mussels in Dallas - or at least I haven't eaten any better. They come with a healthy portion of pommes frites on top. perfection!! My most recent visit I had the Portobello tacos which was fun and different.

We've enjoyed Salum a few times each year for the past several years. This time we were disappointed with the quality of the food. I started with a wedge salad with bleu cheese and tomatoes. The ingredients were balanced so it was good enough. My wife had the butternut squash soup, which was OK but was more of a cream... More

We were guests and expected a nice meal... had chicken, not wanting anything too heavy... Well.... the chicken was Incredible... never had chicken this incredible ever!! I tasted the other dishes (nearby) and they too were wonderful... but for all, the chicken ruled the night. Had their margarita (3) also incredibly good... I will look forward to a return visit.... my husband and I have been to this restaurant at least 3 times and each time it has been awesome! Tonight was off the chart! Foie gras was delicious and we shared it. I had the lobster with puff pastry and my spouse had the sea scallops. Both were out of this world along with the bread pudding! The chef... More

We chose to spend New Years Eve there this year. The food is some of the best in Dallas. The service is very good, and the wait staff seems to remain there. The wine list is okay. When we want a good meal, we always seem to go back to Salum.

We were there for 2014 restaurant week, and it did not disappoint. This is one of my favorite restaurants. Their menu changes, but they keep favorites like rack of lamb and the goat's cheese/garlic starter is amazing. They always have fantastic flavorful entrees prepared perfectly. The service is consistently excellent and consistently friendly and elegant atmosphere. We'll be back.
