Great food good service

Ate fajitas and were very good . Chicken and vegetables came out sizzling. Enjoyed the grilled vegetables. Would go back again.

While in Dallas for meetings joined friends for lunch ta RJ Mexican. The service was good as was the food. Being in a historic and old section of the city with a number of restaurants there prices were good. Would eat there again.

This place offers great mexican favorites at a low price, considering the area. They have a super nice lunch special on weekdays that would allow a couple to eat very good food with dessert for $35. The service was excellent. The only odd thing of the place is the 80's music playing on all the time during our visit.

We were visiting friends and we were all from out of town! They knew about West Dallas so we thought this should be fun, then it hit me, we had eaten here a couple of years before and it wasn't too good then either. But we thought maybe it got better, we were wrong. The server nice as she was,... More

Had a good experience here after visiting the 6th floor JFK museum close by. Waiter was friendly though seemed a bit inexperienced. He seemed to want us served and away from the table ready for the next customers which was a bit mystifying as the place wasn't exactly buzzing on a Sunday mid-afternoon. A huge platter of corn chips was... More

Their website claim they are the best Mexican food in Dallas. Granted I understand marketing, and I only went there because I was staying around the area, but it's hard to believe it's anywhere near the best in Dallas. Food is just average, nothing really bad about it, but I wouldn't go back either.

We went to RJ for lunch during a break from our conference. We were immediately seated and got a table inside. Our lunch was about $14 per person and the 4 people at the table thought the food was just average. One person said they did not like it at all (they ordered quesadillas). The service was OK. The restaurant... More

We were enjoying the area and decided to have apps and drinks and different places because we couldn't choose. This was our third stop. We sat on patio and our waitress started by saying " I have your table and 5 more, three being inside. I don't know how long things will take." Awesome. Drinks were slow, and no menus.... More

I was in Dallas for a convention and wandered about a mile from the convention center where I found RJ Mexican Cuisine. They have a really nice patio, tree covered and with great people watching. It was a warm May evening and so I took the opportunity to sit outside and eat dinner. I thoroughly enjoyed my shrimp and spinach... More

Since I was in Dallas, I figured a Mexican restaurant was in order. This restaurant is located in the historic West End and was close to my hotel. The waiter told me the menu had recently changed...no more Mole, no more Flan. There are some Mexican items, but the restaurant really wants to be seen as a steak house. On... More
