While visiting Texas for the first time, we wanted to try authentic Mexican cuisine. We were somewhat disappointed as our meal was just mediocre. Everything was very spicy but nothing was very tasty. We ordered steak fajitas and enchiladas. The steak fajitas were good, but the enchiladas were bland. Our service was very poor as well. The restaurant did not... More

The food was nice and fresh, but a little over priced. I think the portions are increased to justify the increase in the price. The menu and outside awnings were having a bit of an identity crisis. In addition to Mexican, they had seafood, chops and steaks. The salsa comes in one level of spiciness and that is HOT!. The... More

The food was fine and the service, adequate. However, in a state known for Mexican food, this is nothing special.

Margaritas were excellent. Food also good though a bit spicy for my taste. Environment is upscale and patio dining is available. Would go again.

In Dallas for the first time, on what was a stereotypical hot summer day, we ate at RJ's for lunch. We were offered a table outside in the searing heat, but chose an inside booth to enjoy the A/C. The service was very good, and the server patiently addressed all of our questions about the menu items. I ended up... More

Enjoyed the food. Was very spicy.. Little pricey for lunch. Was there on a Saturday...no Lunch menu. Drinks were good...not great..and were as much as the meal. No princes were listed so be sure to ask. Fire alarm went off while we were dining and were not turned off for at least 15 minutes. Hard to finish your meal with... More

No wimpy salsa, hot and tasty. Ate lunch there and the tortas were huge and filling. Happy hour starts early which is good for the vacationer.

Our waitress was phenomenal, but everyone else was stand offish and not helpful. Found out it was our waitress' last week there. Food was really good. It's a little pricey, but it truly is Mexican cuisine. Drinks were as much as meals ($11-20). Be prepared for that. They don't advertise drink prices.
