I'll start by saying I'm from LA so I have a high bar for Mexican food. I came to Dallas to visit a friend and he said we were going to go to Javier's so I looked it up and saw all the rave reviews. I was sorely disappointed. The chips seemed stale and I wasn't a big fan of... More

Four of us went on a Saturday night always a busy place on weekend. What can I say Javier's has been consistent since I have been going back in the mid 90's. The service is spot on the food is consistently good, have never had a bad meal there.

We asked some locals where to go to eat good Mexican food... this was it! They were right! The service at the restaurant was excellent from start to finish; prompt and professional. The entrees were more expensive than what you'd find at many Tex-mex type restaurants. The quality of the food was above what you'll find elsewhere as well and... More

Javier's is the very best Mexican food in Dallas. If you have ever eaten at a gourmet restaurant in Mexico City then you can expect the fine dining experience at Javier's. The food is absolutely delicious, especially the steak dishes. It can become crowded and noisy, but that is a small price to pay for a one of a king... More

Had a delicious dinner at Javier's. Service was professional and "old-school". The food was wonderful - shared appetizers were first, followed by the snapper, steak, chicken mole, and shrimp tacos. Save room for the tres leches cake!

Had a great experiences. The red snapper was the bomb. The swanky and old school clientele was interesting and the service was excellent. Loved it.

I am originally from Mexico City and my expectations are high when it comes to gourmet Mexican cuisine. I live in Dallas now but travel to Mexico at least once a year to get my fill of authentic food. I had been skeptical of Javier's since it opened, but a major birthday came up and my family wanted to take... More

This is not your regular Tex-Mex. It is Mexican gourmet at its finest. I have spent many a Christmas Holiday get togethers here at Javier's. Its crowded and busy and you have to squeeze your way back to a table most nights. Only open for dinner and yes make your reservations in advance. We celebrated my daughters 16th birthday her... One of our families favorite things to do is enjoy a nice meal at a nice restaurant. It is often hard to find a place that offers, great food, great service and in a classy environment. Javier's surpasses all the above, with friendly prompt service and menu choices that are like no other, I had the Fliet Durango, my sister... More
