I visited Kalanchandji's this past weekend with my father, who is a vegetarian. I am not a vegetarian but love all food and love trying new things! I found this restaurant and the temple very enjoyable! I do not know much about the religious aspect, but like I said I love experiencing new cultures and seeing other ways of life!... More

First, if you're a vegan, this place must be heaven. If you're not a vegan and enjoy traditional Indian food, like me, you will realize they serve a variety of vegetarian foods and flavors from several different cultures, including Indian. Only you can decide if you like or not. The food is served buffet style and allows you to choose... More

To start, this was not an Indian restaurant so I am not sure why it is listed as one. Each dish was okay, but this was not Indian food at all. It was actually a mix of Thai, Chinese, Greek, etc. which isn't bad if you want different types of food at one time. I agree with Eric S. in... More

Another veggie restaurant in Dallas! Very spiritual setting (in a Hari Krishna temple but the restaurant is in its own separate room and courtyard). Excellent Indian influenced food. No booze but the Tamarind Cooler is lovely. Buffet style.

The food choices were so bad that it's a shame. I was surprised that they even call this a restaurant because there was no food apart from like a raw salad buffet. The only thing I liked about this place was the temple, which was surprisingly full of White Americans part of the Hare Krishna movement! The temple looked good,... More

My wife and I eat here all the time and love the fact that, as vegetarians, we can eat anything on the menu. The food is excellent but the menu is limited so it's best to check their Web site to see what's for dinner that evening, my personal favorite is the eggplant parmigiana. However, no matter what else they... More

Being vegetarian there is no other place in Dallas area to have pure and scrumptious vegetarian meal. always a great verity of dishes on menu. Beautiful in-door and our-door patio sitting with soft music. when you are there and ready for desserts try their Blueberry and Suji... More

Kalachandji's is in the Krishna temple and staffed by residents. It's a vegetarian buffet with a nice selection of tasty, but not overly-spicy foods. The courtyard seating area is very nice. I've never observed any proselytizing. If you are interested in the Krishna's you can wander the halls a bit.

Loved this place!!! Make no mistake it's located inside a temple that's located inside the ghetto. What you will find inside is heavenly Indian food. When we arrived we were totally confused about how you pay. You basically just jump in line, grab a plate, hit the buffet, and sit. Eventually a waiter magically appears right as your thinking dessert... More

This buffet restaurant is located near the Arboretum in an old church building. The food was fresh, nicely prepared and was vegetarian and/or vegan.
