Off Season - Average Everything

Well... average everything except for beer price, a domestic bottle was 6 dollars. That would seem normal during the state fair, but not July. Everything else was priced appropriately. The food was average, service was good, atmosphere was pleasant. It's somewhere I would eat if we were... read more

As the only restaurant open in Fair Par Dallas, Tx the lack of other options plays to their strengths. The exterior is charming and contrasts a bleak interior of an oddly functioning dining hall. Menu options were extremely limited, however prices were fairly reasonable. My table ordered a cheeseburger, Chicken fried steak, chicken fried steak sandwich & the kids PB&J.... More

The chicken fried steak is the best part of the restaurant. I love it. The cobblers are great as well. It is a treat each time I get to visit this staple in Fair Park. The staff is great and many of them have been there for years. I look forward to this during the fair and on other trips... More

The staff here was pleasant and welcoming, and the Inn itself is interesting, but the food was nothing special. My chicken salad sandwich, served on whole wheat, was generous but had absolutely no flavor. There were no condiments on the table, not even ketchup for the fries, and you had to go to the salad bar to get lettuce and... More

We were hungry after visiting the Children's Aquarium and decided to eat here as it was on the fair grounds. Happy to see an inexpensive menu. We were warmly greeted by the staff. Our hamburgers were delicious and we could add our own toppings. There was a large party so it was a bit loud, but it was fine as... More

This looks decent from the outside, but we were wrong as soon as we went in. But it was lunch time and the kids were hungry. Food was average, lady at the counter wasn't welcoming, coffee was old, check your utensils, I have to ask them to replace mine. Also check your bill, we were charged 2x on the same... More

We went for the mystery dinner. It was ALOT of fun. It was a little obvious but not as cheesy as others. My understanding is that they don't want it to be too hard...so that anyone can enjoy. The food wasn't the best...it was okay. The resturant has seen better days but I still think it was worth it. If... More
