Great stuffed potato

Stopped at this location for lunch. I ordered a baked potato stuffed with chicken. The potatoes are a good size and the chicken has a great flavor. Quick service.

On our BBQ tour of Dallas, we decided to try Dickey's on Forest Lane. Nice, clean establishment. You grab a tray and order your meat, then move on down the line for your sides and drinks. They carve the meat right in front of you so you see what you're getting, which is nice. The only complaint I had is... More

The service at this Dickey's was very good and folks were friendly. I picked up the 'Picnic Pack' plus two extra medium sides. 4 sides total and my favorites are green beans, BBQ beans, Creamy Potato Salad, Cole Slaw. The best meat for the 1LB that comes in the Picnic Pack is the Brisket, as you also get a medium... More

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I travel a lot and as a result I tend to patronize the chains and franchises because I know what I'm going to get. I've been to several different Dickey's stores in cities as diverse as Scottsdale, AZ, Yonkers, NY, a rest stop on the New Jersey Turnpike, and of course... More

Not the best BBQ in Dallas, but the food is good and the prices are fair. Great place to eat if you just want some quick and decent food.

It's harder to find good barbeque in Dallas than you'd think. Dickey's is a prime example of what's wrong. High-volume, corporate approach to things, not authentic slow-smoked barbeque. I hear all the good barbeque's in Fort Worth. But in Dallas, try Baker's Ribs instead.

Take a tray and choose what you'd like. Tip: order the steak fries instead of the waffle fries. Self-service condiment bar and unlimited (self-service) drink refills. Their big yellow drink cup is a Dallas icon.

A Dallas barbecue institution. Casual, family dining, the way barbque is meant to be. Not as good as Corky's in Memphis though.
