It's Pricey. Even the Waiter Agreed! But It's Excellent Chinese Food.

Every so often I get the Chinese craving and last night I remembered that May Dragon in Addison (suburb of Dallas) was a "hot" spot years ago when I lived in this area. So off to May's and happily so. This is a classy place -- piano player in the bar lounge and white tablecloths on the tables. The... read more

Ended up in this place unfortunately for between lunch and dinner. Asked for seafood fried noodle and replied that they don't have real seafood but they can add something like imitation crab. This should be a big enough red flag but my fault, I proceed. Fried noodle with shrimp and pork is inedible. Some part of noodle uncooked and very... More

Been going there for years and made a recent visit this week. Always consistent quality, service and value. The owner is visible and involved which contributes to the consistency. Nice atmosphere conducive to a business lunch or quiet dinner. I've tried a variety of menu items and I'm never disappointed. Been in business over 20 years; might be the longest-tenured... More

If I could give May Dragon a zero rating, I would. My husband and I ate at May Dragon at 4:00 on March 24, 2015. I ordered the Hunan Chicken at the suggestion of the wait staff. It was served promptly because there was no one else in the restaurant. The chicken smelled spoiled, a little off; it could have... More

Dozens of choices. Orange beef is good as are many other dishes, but it's our destination for Peking duck.

I ordered the Kung Pao Shrimp and it was terrrible. it was covered in a sweet peatnut sauce and was not spicy at all. I was with a group and they said they liked what they ordered. We order a poo-poo platter as am appitizer. it was fair. I tried the shrimp (good), the meat on a skewer (not bad),... More

A lovely restaurant in the Addison area with a menu so full of choices it was hard to choose from. The service was knowledgeable and attentive. The atmosphere was perfect for a special occasion with private areas for a group. We had dinner with friends and enjoyed an evening sampling our dinner choices. Everything we ordered was delicious!

While visiting Dallas last week, a friend, who lives in the Addison area, said, "If you like Chinese food, you will love this place!" and she was right. May Dragon is a locally owned restaurant located in a strip mall with hands on management by the former mayor and his charming wife. Seating was prompt. Friend suggested the crispy tomato... More

We went to the May dragon for a team lunch. I liked their ambience a lot. Each party seemed to have their own space to sit in without getting disturbed by others. I ordered a Shirley Temple which was really good. Their hot and sour soup and free appetizer were good. I tried their schezuan chicken and fried rice. Both... More
