The first two appetizers were great but the entree lacked salt. The waiter was ok but kept asking if I was done. I'm pretty sure I know how to lay my fork to signal that I am done. We had originally wanted the chefs tasting menu but were told it was not available due to food shortage. It was a... More

Dear Guest, Our maître d' hotel has taken your criticisms to heart and will be sharing your review with his staff. You made some excellent points, which will serve as helpful instruction. As you can imagine, it is very painful when we do not impress. Thank you for caring enough to post a review. Very sincerely, David More

We went to The French Room for the first time, for our anniversary. We were greeted very warmly and seated right away. The ambiance and decor are amazing. The room is huge and beautiful and definitely makes you feel like you are somewhere special. Our server greeted us quickly and went over the menu. The sommelier came by and helped... More

Once again the French Room did not disapoint. We go for our Anniversary every year and it is great to know that expectations will be met. Mr. Donohue and the whole staff are just a pleasure. The wine list, as always, has many great selections in the $150 range so you do not have to break the bank. If you... More

The place is a feast for the eyes. One of the finest and elegant places I've visited. The entire visit allows you enjoy a wonderful meal while in a luxurious and relaxed setting. Nothing hurried here. Take your time with the wait staff and discuss the options. The daily specials are worth the descriptions.

The French Room is decadence at its pinnacle. The ambiance, the décor and staff start your dining experience off as if you are royalty. I won't get in to details about our food because a couple of us ordered off the Chef's Tasting Menu with Wine and it changes every month, so I was told, but suffice it to say... More

The French Room at the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas, is one of the finest in the Dallas area. We recently dined there with 2 friends, and could not have had a more lovely evening. The food was superb, especially the crab cakes! Do not miss these. They do not rush you trying to "turn the tables" and the wine list... More

The French Room is still the most elegant dining experience in Dallas. The room itself is visually stunning and gives you the feeling that you are in a European palace eating dinner with royalty. The service is nearly perfect as well. I think the food has declined a little over the years. Twenty years ago, the French Room was hands... More

My husband, 9 yo son, and I experienced The French Room around the holidays. It starts at the valet at the front door. You proceed inside through lobby of The Adolphus which has an old world style. It is very beautiful and feels going back in time when people actually "dressed" for dinner. The staff are very gracious and accommodating.... More
