I enjoyed the chef's menu. All delicious and service outstanding. Enjoyed the complimentary take home banana bread.

Simple like that: tell the guys at OpenTable you require jackets. Don't let people spend time to get in in vain.

This dining room is a throwback to an opulent, Rocco era -- more appropriate for Versailles than 21st Century Texas. It also seems to attract either the staid, elderly Dallas elite or younger foreign tourists out to experience the Dallas of TV fame. Aside from the decor, however, the food is first rate. I had seared tuna for appetizer and... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Interestingly enough, The French Room draws a full spectrum of patrons. Most are in their thirties and forties. The vast majority are local residents who travel widely and have a thorough understanding of the Dallas restaurant scene. Our guests from other countries dine with us for the same reasons you did. This the best meal I have ever enjoyed, but that is not to say there isn't room for improvement. The decor is beautiful and almost breathtaking when you enter the dining room. The tables were adequately sized and well spaced. We were seated simultaneously and the napkins were opened for us. This is to say that the service was lavish.... More

Old world elegance. The waiters are lifetime professionals. This is the place to take a date to show you really care. Get dressed up and transport yourself to Europe. I loved how they kept replacing the taper candle on our table as it burned down. They even leave you with breakfast to take home and a rose.

We've eaten a number of times in The French Room and have never been disappointed. It compares favorably with the best in New York, Chicago, and New Orleans. On our first visit there some years ago, my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary with a stay at the Adolphus, but neglected to make a reservation at The French Room.... More

The French Room is by far one of the best restaurants anywhere. Excellent service, impressive wine list and fantastic food! Make reservations and make sure that you dress up. This is definitely a coat and tie atmosphere and you don't want to be underdressed.
