High Expectations, Not Disappointed

The only problem with having a superb reputation like the French Room does is having to live up to it. After all, anything less than perfection is grounds for criticism. Therefore when returning to the French Room after several years absence, I was pleased to find it as good as I remembered. I... read more

Elegant dining room with tables well spaced so you certainly feel you're in a classy restaurant. Service was crisp but not overwhelming. Food was good but perhaps a bit unimaginative and safe. Good place for a special occasion.

The French Room, inside the legendary Adolphus Hotel, is the finest dining establishment in Dallas, hands down. The room is so incredibly elegant and the staff is simply gracious. They are warm and helpful. Full of personality and sincere recommendations. On my most recent visit, I instructed Carlos to surprise me with my meal and he and chef did an... More

I debated writing this review for a while but I decided that I should since I depend on the reviews to help me making my dining decisions. I have visited the French Room several times and all of my prior visits were exceptional. Love the ambiance, the waiter Carlos and the food especially Valentines 2014. So Valentines 2015 I returned... More

Have been here before and it is consistently an excellent experience. The beautiful painting on the ceiling is like being in Paris. White glove service.

A must whenever you're in Dallas. Be warned: definitely call a week or so ahead. Everything from the tasting menu to the sommelier was absolutely exquisite. My family and I have been going to the French Room for a couple of years now and each time surpasses the last. The wait-staff is kind to a fault and the food is... More

Perfect for that very special dinner. Ambiance and decor were exceptional. Quite pricey but not a place you would do often visit - savor for a special birthday/anniversary, et al.
