We love The Grape for dinner, amazing mushroom soup and our favorite the cheese plate with a nice bottle of wine. However if you want to try what's been called the best cheeseburger in Texas (by Texas Monthly Magazine, #1 out of 50 rated) make a reservation for Sunday Brunch and order the cheeseburger. Beef ground on site, pepper bacon... More

Four of us had brunch today. Two burgers, one steak and eggs (all cooked to order) and one chicken biscuit. All were very good. The chicken was a little dry, but with a side of gravy, it was excellent. The polenta starter was very good, as were the two carafes of mimosa. The "spicy" bloody mary was not spicy, but... More

We have dined here for many years, through many chef changes. The Grape has always had the same wonderful food, regardless of all the changes. It is a very small restaurant on Lower Greenville and thankfully offers valet parking. We usually make reservations and are seated in the first, small and quaint, dining room. (Outside dining is also available when... More

We've been going to The Grape for years now. The food is good (fancier sounding than actually being very upscale) and the atmosphere is akin to a NY-style hole in the wall restaurant. But on our last few visits we've noticed the wait staff quality has changed. We no longer receive the elegantly casual service that allowed us to eat... More

With all of the awards bestowed upon this place over the years just had to try it. First time here was for Father's Day brunch. Made reservation several weeks ahead. Free valet parking. I had the oxtail dish. It was very good but just not that memorable. Bloody Mary was very average. Service was good but expected a bit more... More

My wife and I visited The Grape on a Thursday night in July for their monthly wine dinner. The dinner was 3 courses, each with a wine pairing, for $48 per person. The food was great - the appetizer was butter poached lobster in coconut curry, the main was a grilled akaushi sirloin with a polenta cake, and dessert was... More

I don't get the food, the menu or the attraction? It must be a groupie thing or something because I just don't get it. I go to restaurants to eat really good food, not ooooh and ahhhh over a fancy sounding menu or food plated like it was supposed to be Art Deco or something.

Wife and I were visiting Dallas and we decided to try the Grape. We started with the cheese plate, and were delighted with the assortment of cheeses and sausage. We then split a mussels appetizer and were a little disappointed. The mussels were a little small for our taste. For the main, we split the trout, which was perfect. We... More

Wonderful intimate place with lots of character and an excellent varied menu. Indoor and outdoor seating was available. We had reservations for 3 indoors. I had the blueberry corn cakes with sausage for $8, a proseco mimosa and coffee. The corn cakes came with a little fresh fruit and were perfectly dollar sized, so it wasn't a gigantic portion. Our... From the monthly changing specials to the old standby the grape always pleases. The wine list is a good mix of familiar and some special finds. The wine dinners and cheese nights are a special accent and who can resist the hamburger?
