Decent but over-priced

I had an off-the-menu whitefish (can't tell you the name -I had never heard of it!). It was good, but nothing particularly special. They served two extremely small, thin filets, served with 4 or 5 halved cherry tomatoes in a nice sauce. It seemed over-priced at $39. My wife had the meatloaf. A... read more

This upscale, two story, casual dinning restaurant, delivered on all levels. The energy when you walk into the restaurant is palatable. The main floor has a chic decor, dominated by an large oval bar, with dinning tables and booths strategically located throughout. The open kitchen, toward the back wall, wetting your appetite with servers bring fresh plated food to the... More

went with family to Del Frisco's Grill on Westheimer Road in Houston the other night. It was a nice spot with good fresh food and a very accommodating staff. We started with a flat bread that we shared, and then I had a wedge salad. Others got tacos, soup, etc. My salad was really good, and the tuna tacos were... More

Don't be in a rush, your steak will arrive eventually. And it will be great. It will also, by all evidence, show up without the sauce you ordered on it. But they'll eventually sort this out. Some beautiful seafood also. Extensive wine list. Great bread. Noisy, especially when their entertainers are playing. Hard to hear each other. Bring your banker... More

Had drinks and appetizers at the bar on a Monday night. Bartender was wonderful. Jazz band was great. Food was good. Del Friscos is very expensive, but the exceptional service keeps us coming back. This is the original Del Friscos. Heard they are building a more modern replacement to attract a younger crowd.

overrated, poor service and over priced. I really don't need to say more, but I will. It is clear to me; when in TX, go to a TX restaurant and not an overrated chain. 6 of us sat down to spend a lot and have a good time. The best part was the outdoor seating. We ordered drinks and appetizers,... More

Service, food, ambiance, vibe, you name it, this place has it in spades. My first trip there was last night; I hope I can return again soon.

make sure to make reservations...they are always full. Del Frisco's has been around for a long time and has kept up with all of the competition...they are pricey but worth it for a special occasion,

The bar staff is the best and one of the primary reasons we always pass on dessert wherever we are eating and stop here on the way home (that and the exceptional lemon cake). Del Frisco's also holds its own as one of the best steak houses in Dallas.

Del Frisco's is a typical steakhouse with very good steaks, good drinks and a decent wine selection - as expected all very expensive. Nothing exceptional but very good.
