We arrived without a reservation for a late business lunch and were promptly seated. The server provided informed, intelligent advice on the menu without being too familiar - just right for a business lunch. Things started well with a homemade mini-loaf of herb bread accompanied by an olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip. Then the steak knife arrived. You can... More

I have lived in Dallas for 47 years and have never eaten at Dakotas. I wish I hadn't waited so long. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is very nice and our waiter, Jeff made our first visit perfect. The food is 5 star. I had the scallops, which I would definitely recommend. My husband had the filet. The sides... More

Last Friday, my wife and I celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary. Since we had tickets to see A Christmas Carol, we wanted to eat somewhere very nice downtown. I found Dakota's website and decided to try them out based upon their menu and location. From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us like royalty. We especially were grateful for... More

Walked in at 6:30 and the vibe was dead. We chose to eat outside with the heaters on. Very eclectic yet practical menu, with an above average selection of wine. I chose the large scallops with sides of truffle mac and scalloped potatoes. Massive amounts of truffle made the mac outstanding! The scallops were cooked to perfection, so I was... More

Dakota's is one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas. To begin with, going down the glass elevator you can enjoy the 2 story waterfall that is lit up at night. The food is incredible and the staff is excellent. We have eaten there many times and have never been disappointed. My son-in-law was only going to stay for drinks since... More

We went here to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant is underground with free valet parking. Food was fresh and perfectly cooked. The filet was so tender almost didn't need a steak knife. The swordfish was not dry or undercooked. We had coconut cream pie which creamy, but light. The server was outstanding. Great restaurant for special occasion.

Good steak...asked to have the loud bad jazz music turned down/off -- this took most of our meal, although the manager did come by afterward to apologize, so instead of the lovely waterfall sound, we were subjected to bad music...server was kind enough to remove our bread plates, but I had to mention that he neglected to serve us any... This restaurant was highly recommended by the concierge at our hotel and it certainly exceeded our every expectation. You enter the restaurant at street level and take an elevator down to the restaurant level. The entire back wall of the restaurant is glass with a beautiful view of a waterfall/water feature in the heart of downtown Dallas. The wine list... More

Great food the fillet literally melted in my mouth. We had some calamari which was cooked to perfection, it tasted so fresh. I love this place ! Would def go back In a heart beat. You have to actually take an elavator down to the actual restaurant, which was pretty cool.

This is a nice steak house, but they also had fish and other items to satisfy everyone in our party. The restaurant is located near hotels and even has an underground walkway to a nearby hotel that some in our party was staying at for an convention. We started with a few drinks in the bar and it was a... More
