This was the best place we found in Texas. The food is amazingly fresh and is flown in from all over the US. The cuisine is inventive with lots of moutwatering choices from sushi to chowder to plain grilled fish. There is surf and turf too. What really makes this restaurant stand out from its competitors is the service. My... More

When out-of -towers ask about the "best restaurant in Dallas," my usual reply is "Al Biernat's," and last night's dining experience is a confirmation. For a starter we shared an appetizer of escargots , with tortellini ($17.) The tender snail morsels were perfectly complimented by a tomato-based cream sauce. Of course, Al Biernat's is mostly about steak. Each of us... More

What can I say? We went to Als for our 36th wedding anniversary celebration. From the moment we walked in they did everything in their power to make sure we had the best night of our lives....And we did. Al took it upon himself to make sure we were tended to above and beyond. We got there early so they... More

We were there for dinner on Sunday, August 31st, the last day of restaurant week. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Food was great. Restaurant week price was great. My husband ordered the fish entree which was delicious. I ordered the sliced sirloin with the kale vegetable with beets. My entree was also very good.

Wonderful fun very busy place. They serve family style so its best for large groups because too much food is served for a table of 2 and you'll go home with lots of food in a bag. The service is wonderful. The bar is much too small of area.

Three of us get together every year for Restaurant Week and this year we picked Al B's. On Oak Lawn with only valet parking. We were taken to a table that was in the back where it was so quiet. Very nice table. I ordered the Crab & Corn Chowder (Outstanding), the Sliced Wagyu Sirloin, Kale Salad with Beets, Parsnips,... More

We were there for dinner with a party of six on a Sunday night during restaurant week. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Restaurant week price was excellent. But the round booth we were in was too tight because the table cannot be moved and was slightly too big or too off-center... More

For such a pricey dining establishment, our party was disappointed by the speed at which we were pushed through our (albeit delicious!) meal. Before we had even finished our salads, the steaks were on the table. Plates were cleared before everyone had finished eating. Fine dining establishments rarely present this type of rushed service, and we were very disappointed. While... More

We decided to go for steak at about 7:30pm so I called Al Biernat’s and they said they had an opening at 8pm. We valeted the car which was very quick and the only real option. We walked in and asked to wait just a couple of minutes. We were actually seated within a couple of minutes. We were seated... More

Go to Al's for great food and great service and you'll never be disappointed. Their steaks are very good and always cooked properly to temperature. I like mine medium, not medium-rare (which often comes out rare) and it comes out medium. A small thing perhaps, but I enjoy precision when I order a steak that good. The menu is not... More
