Food is great!

Bar counter service was exceptional, but my first visit with table service was not that great. The waiter needed to be trained on the nuances of the menu and how to communicate with the customers, considering the price of the meal.

Our group was treated fantastically. Our waiter, Warren, was wonderful.. He helped us through drinks, starters, main course and dessert for our group of 7. He was great. The food was very good as well. I had the salmon and it was good. Not the best I've had but it was good. The desserts were very good. Overall the meal... More

I have enjoyed fresh lobster on the coast and in Europe, but, I believe the lobster that I enjoyed at this restaurant was the best that I have eaten! This staff was courteous and quick to serve. My granddaughter ordered crab legs, and the serving brought to her was enough for our entire family to enjoy. I also enjoyed the... More

The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. There were 4 of us dining, seated upstairs in a booth. It was a wonderful evening. The food was good but, the waiter wasn't quite up to par. I was an overall good experience and I will return.

Oceanaire has really wonderful atmosphere. The blue lighting makes you feel as if you are underwater! Besides the unique ambiance, the food was average. It wasn't particularly memorable, but it was fine. The service was a bit slow, and it was hard to find our waiter when we needed him. Oceanaire is a good option if you are staying at... More

The ambiance is very nice and upscale. Great fixtures, white linen tablecloths, nice vibe. We shared a crabcake for an appetizer and it was really flaky and tasty. I wanted the stuffed lemon sole, but they mix is pre-mixed with the shrimp and I'm allergic. So, I went with the grilled Mahi Mahi, mashed potatoes and asparagus. The fish was... More

Our waiter was attentive, helpful and witty. Our group tried crab cake that was full of crab, mussels that were tender, ahi appetizer and shrimp and grits. All of the dishes were great. Can't wait to go back.

Oceanaire is probably the most consistent seafood place in Dallas these days (at least that doesn't require a second mortgage). Our recent visit excelled, like always. Oysters from the east coast were amazingly fresh and served perfectly. Salads are fresh and nicely done. All the fish, without exception, that I've had there is perfectly fresh. Go for the simple presentations,... More

We arrived a bit late (9:30 pm), but they still seated us! Our waiter was Nathan and he certainly was one of the best parts of our time at the Oceanaire! He was quick and kept us laughing! Also, Carlos took good care of us making sure that we had hot water for our tea.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Filet Mignon twice while in Dallas at The Oceanaire. The bacon au gratin potatoes and sour cream mashed potatoes were also quite delicious. The desserts are enormous and definitely too much for 1 person and plenty to save or share.
