Hatties found us a table for 7 right away, they were busy, service was excellent, food was very good, good tomato bisque soup, others liked the asparagus. Portions were good, food quality was fresh and excellent, prices very reasonable. I would definitely eat here again, from the outside, it... read more

We went for lunch at Hatties in the Bishop Arts District. Great location close to downtown. Nice atmosphere and excellent service. Great Bloody Mary's. Lots of choices of southern cooking with an upscale flair. The Shrimp and Grits were excellent with a beautiful presentation. The 4 cheese Mac and Cheese was awesome. The specials of the day sounded great. The... More

This is a small and often very crowded (and noisy) restaurant in the Bishop Arts District. There are a limited number of tables (mostly crammed in quite close to one another) so I would suggest making reservations if you plan on going during peak hours. We had a great experience the first time we went to this restaurant, but when... More

I've been to Hattie's on my last four visits to Dallas, and last week's meal was a severe disappointment. One of the specials was Duck Confit - a favorite of mine. I asked the waiter to check if the skin was crispy (an indicator of the fresh duck properly prepared), and if it was I would gladly order it. The... More

We have been to Hattie's Restaurant in Bishop Arts for dinner twice in the last three weeks. Both times were delightful dining experiences. Their menu is an interesting composite of foodie and down home. Our favorites have become the fried catfish and the bacon wrapped meatloaf. Yes, a huge portion of bacon wrapped meatloaf. Outstanding entrée for less than $16.00.... More

It had been over a year since our first visit and I frankly do not know why we waited so long. The ambiance, service, and of course the food are excellent. We had family visiting from out of town and they were equally impressed. The mac and cheese filet was very good!

Corner restaurant in a quaint neighborhood. Been here twice and ordered the pecan catfish and it was DELISH!! Tasted the shrimp and the GRIT CAKE (MY MY MY). The service is wonderful; our waiter on my first visit was much better than on my second visit, but someone else sort of stepped in to cover his lack of attention. Yes,... More

elevated southern food. Enjoyed the roasted beets with blueberries and the pasta with lamb ragu. The crab cake appetizer and Mac & cheese tenderloin were also very good.

We had lunch here while touring the Bishop Arts District and the food was great. I highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich. Our waiter was very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant.
