Great Food, Excellent Service!

A group of 4 had lunch at Hattie's earlier this week. It was buzzing! Lively atmosphere, but quite loud. Wouldn't recommend for conversation and "catching up", which is what we were there to do.....BUT the food and the service were superb! 2 of us had the Fried Chicken Salad, another the Shrimp... read more

Older building with bathroom style tile floors very sterile environment.. if it's crowded (usually) or if there is a party at one end of the room..noise level is extremely loud. Almost as if your in the kitchen cooking. Chef's prepare the food very well, some modern choices. Small portions, chef creations of ego excellence. Overall experience is stuffy, not that... More

Came here as part of a business trip. Very courteous staff delivering top notch food. Really enjoyed it and would recommend. The catfish was great and a colleague had the crab cakes which looked even better!

It was a great place to go with work colleagues but I would go back with girl friends or a dinner with my husband. Excellent and interesting drink menu. FABULOUS food. Very coincidentally, seven people ordered seven different entrees and all were 100% satisfied. We all then started sharing and all of us agreed that each entree was equally good.... More

Our first time in Dallas. We wanted to have a nice dinner. This place is in the Bishop neighborhood, a few blocks of cool stores/restaurants/pubs. Very nice inside, understated by sharp decor. Service was perfect (thanks Greg). The food is kind of Southern fusion. Started off with a well-made Salty Dog. Had the fried green tomatoes, oysters, and prosciutto-wrapped figs... More

Love this place. Very charming new american/southern food spot. A friend of mine arranged to have my baby shower here, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. The food is terrific as well.

If you have a food allergy, don't bother. The point of going to a nice restaurant with a chef, is that the chef is supposed to be able to alter the recipe to accommodate things like allergies. I was offered a plain steak (or plain chicken or fish) with steamed veggies. I could make that at home myself. We were... More

Hattie's has been on my list of "restaurants to try" for some time. We visited on a Sunday for brunch. The first thing we noticed was the beautiful dining room. White tablecloths and lots of natural light. We were seated and promptly greeted with sourdough and banana nut breads. Both fresh and yummy. The sourdough was still warm from the... More

My family decided at the last minute to have a birthday celebration for me at this restaurant. So I decided to drop by and speak to someone regarding reservations for 20 people. Larry assisted us and assured us that my birthday celebration would be perfect and it was. When we arrived our tables were reserved in the back of the... More

We wanted "Southern food", but not in an informal or bar setting, so this was perfect. The Bishop Arts District is really great to walk around and this restaurant was somewhat upscale (and also a little pricier). The waiter was just right - attentive enough (refills without asking) but not intrusive. I loved my pulled pork, grits and greens! Not... More
