Very nice staff and atmosphere. We had oysters wrapped in bacon, crab cake and the fried green tomatoes, which were all very good. Entrees were a bit of a letdown...pecan crusted catfish was just OK, nothing special. My husband's pork chop was moist and prepared very well. My chicken breast main course stuffed with herbs and goat cheese was not... More

Dinner this past weekend with another couple. The waiter was at first was very enthusiastic, but his follow through as the evening went on was horrible. We ordered two blue cheese wedge salads to be split in two so each couple would have one. When the salads came out, there was only one split in two. I asked the waiter... More

We ate here on a Saturday night. Started with the Carolina Heat cocktail, which was delicious and caused me to break a sweat during dinner! Tried the oyster appetizer, yummy with a bacon wrap served over a remoulade sauce. Entrees were a steak special, shrimp and grits, chicken and pulled pork. Everyone enjoyed their selections. Service was spot on. A... More

I always hit up Sunday brunch at Hattie's for their famous Chicken and Waffles with the chili maple syrup. The chili maple syrup really turns up the flavor when you combine the waffle, chicken and syrup all in one bite! SOOOOOO GOOD! The best chicken and waffles in DFW in my opinion. Much better than Buttons or Grand Lux Cafe.... More

I've been to Hattie's twice so far and it is one of my favourite places in Dallas..in just 2 visits it has won me over. Hattie's is in the hip and ever changing and growing scene that is the Bishop's Arts District.. an area filled with cool boutiques and and great restaurants. Hattie's sits on a corner in a rehabed... We went here for dinner, had a reservation for 9 on a Friday night. We had to wait about 20 minutes. They kept apologizing, it seems no one wanted to leave. We ordered the meatloaf, which was good but fairly simple. We also ordered the pecan crusted catfish. It was delicious. The Mac and cheese was excellent. To finish, we... More

I've been to Hattie's a couple times. Both times everyone in the group really enjoyed their meals and the special cocktails. The desserts are unique and delicious. Bishop St is worth the drive from downtown both for great food at Hattie's and then lots of shops to stroll through after.

The atmosphere at Hattie's was perfect. I had my 34th birthday brunch here and the food was out of this world great. The management and owner were absolutely rude, inconsiderate, and the most unprofessional group of people I have ever seen. I had over 15 guys to attend and everyone except one of our guest were pleased with their food and drinks.... More

We were in Dallas for a weekend getaway and discovered this little Gem. Lovely restaurant!! A very welcoming atmosphere with classic southern charm! The service was just right, and the food was PERFECT! Started off with a few appetizers bacon wrapped oysters, fried green tomatoes, and delicious figs. The soup & salad was next with tomato bisque, caesar salad and... More

Finally got the opportunity to try genuine "Shrimp and Grits" and it was excellent. As was this restaurant. Great food, service and ambience. Well worth a visit.
