Delicious Louisiana Cooking

I eat here every once in a while... Appetizers alone are enough to get you buzzing. Selection of fish, lobster and crawfish... fried, blackened or grilled... very nice atmosphere and recommend for business or pleasure....

The food here was satisfactory, though nothing stuck out to me. Something that did stick out was the lack of quality of service. I understand that service can be slowed on a busy night, however, the lack of waiter attendance when needed was quite excessive.

This was my first visit at Pappadeaux's in Dallas on Lombardy. I ordered the "Pappadeux Platter" It came with 2 catfish filets, Stuffed Shrimp, Fried Crawfish and Andouille Cheese Grits. The grits have this amazing savory cheesy flavor I have never experience before...Fantastic! The meal I ordered was $31 but well worth it in my opinion. The only regret is... More

I visited Pappadeaux with friends and can say that everything we ordered was tasty. Fried Alligator and Gumbo were excellent choices to kick off the meal. We nibbled from each other's plates - the Tilapia Lafayette was great, so was the Shrimp Brochette and the Opelousas. The dessert - pure heaven. Especially good is the the Bread Pudding with a... But not TOO upscale. The food is near perfect and wait staff excellent. The steak was excellent and done perfectly. The waiter told us that they steak was the same as next door at the even more upscale Pappas Bros. Steakhouse. You could wear a black tie here, but you don't HAVE to. Pricier food than most chain steak or... More

Being from South Louisiana, it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to seafood. Nothing at this restaurant stood out to me. I ordered the seafood skewers. They were very bland, and I would not get them again. The service was mediocre. While would eat there again, as it wasn't horrible, it certainly would not be my first... More

Very fresh seafood, nice service. We arrived at 7 for dinner and decided to go to this location because the Oak Lawn location had a 45 minute wait. We tried to make reservations but were not able to do that. The meal was great and we were surprised that this location was similar and even more relaxing than our usual... More

Having never been to Louisiana, we don't claim to know authentic Cajun cooking but we do know that our meals at Pappadeaux were delicious. My seafood salad contained large, succulent shrimp and chunks of lobster, not the best I've ever had but still very good. My husband's meal, however, was outstanding (of course I tasted some of it). The flesh... More

This place is our to go place for fresh fish. What is great about this place is I could customize the menu almost the way I wanted. Once I tried their signature dishes, I can order any menu in their "naked fish" category and apply my favorite sauce. In addition, I can replace the side dish with what I want.... More
