Dinner began with good chips and salsa then proceeded to a very good house specialty "Martinez margarita" made with quality taquilla at a competitive price. There is a large menu with many good choices. Our moderately sized group was served relatively quickly so we did not have to wait long. My chicken fajitas had plenty of chicken and were properly... me and my co-workers when here for lunch and WOW! I love coming to Texas for real Tex-Mex food! This place has the most awesome fluffy nachos, the food was excellent! The service was awesome.. I even bought a bag of their natchos and salsa for later back at the hotel!

My husband and I were on vacation in Texas and saw this place when leaving the Perot Museum. We didn't have any idea what we were walking into but it was close enough for us to walk to for lunch in between the museum and going to the aquarium. We were very impressed though. The food and service were great.... More

I enjoyed the food and they had a good variety to chose from. I have had better but if I was in that area I would eat there again. Wait, staff wasn't the very best but I think I got there at shift change and there was a mix up on who was supposed to wait on me. All and all... More

We were looking for a restaurant to eat within walking distance of the Perot Science Museum. This El Fenix was right across the street. That turned out to be the best thing about our choice. We has s large group so they put us in the large back room. They only had one waitress so service was slow. The food... More

The place is huge, so if you have a big party you can usually get seated quickly. The food is decent, as is the service. It is within walking distance of the Perot Museum, so we usually go after a visit there.

We took a trolley tour of downtown Dallas and was referred to El Fenix by the tour guide. It's an institution in Dallas, so much that Cowboys QB Tony Romo once had a birthday party thrown for him in there. Looking for something besides the many burger places we went during our visit, we opted for El Fenix after leaving... More

Food and service are always good. The prices can't be beat. Been coming to El Fenix since 1973 when the enchilada plate was on special for ninety-nine cents on Wednesday nights. The price has gone up, but the good time has stayed the same.

New to the area and we are always looking for good restaurants to try. We simply googled the closest place and landed at El Fenix. The food was amazing and service was exceptional! We have been back numerous times and will continue to do so.
