Awersome Fish

I have been to this French restaurant many times over the years, and have never been disappointed! Food is very consistently and service is good! I love fish and they have some of the best preparations of fish in Dallas. I also love the souffles!

Escargot are divine. As well as the perpetually fantastic apricot hazelnut tart. I usually try the special of the day so I enjoy a variety of entrees. The other 2 choices are pretty fixed. Robert is a great server

A pleasant surprise in far north Dallas. We stopped in while in the area and were unexpectedly surprised with the French cuisine selection. We had the fish special and the scallop and shrimp quiche with salads. Dessert we shared a Crème Brulee with Lavender. All simply delicious, amazingly wonderful. They have a great wine list and excellent friendly helpful service.... More

The quality of the food as well as the performance of the service (waiters) are satisfactory. However, the management (French owner) is unfortunately arrogant and can be rude. While the staff is working hard to run the restaurant in a professional manner, the owner - who is walking alongside the tables or sitting at the bar - is not very... More

Dear Sir, I just read your review and I was horrified to learn the attitude from my staff. Could give me the date of your visit at Lavendou to be able to see who was in charge that night. I was myself in France buying new French Provencal fabrics to redo all my table clothes and cushions. Thank you so... More

This lovely restaurant remains among our favorite. The food is excellent and the service consistent. At times the music is a bit loud but overall adds to the ambiance of the facility. The location is in a small strip shopping center but convenient with ample parking. Reservations are important as the restaurant appears busy most nights when we have been... More

My daughters took me French High Tea Lavendou. Loved the atmosphere and the food was good but for the price, I wish there was more to eat. The scones were small and a little dry, but add the strawberry preserves and cream they were eatable. Everything else tasted very good, especially the fruit tart. Our waiter was professional and kept... More

We had a restaurant.com coupon and decided to try this place. My husband and I went for lunch on a weekday. We started with escargot and French onion soup - wonderful traditional French appetizers that did not disappoint! We moved on to mussels in cream sauce and salmon filet - again, our taste buds were ever so thankful! We topped... More

Atmosphere would be very nice and pleasant if it wasn't so noisy, we almost couldn't hear the waiter nor the person setting next to each of us. The waiter was friendly and provided good service. One person had the Rack of Lamb$37, another the Roasted Duck $29 which they thought were decent. I had the Gambas $28 consisting of 4... More

I had the French Onion Soup and the Filet de Porc au Miel de Lavande Pork Tenderloin with Lavender Honey served with Roasted Potatoes. Both were excellent as well as the service and the atmosphere. Definitely saving this one so I can find it again.

We were having sleet and very cold temperatures that evening and not sure the restaurant would be open. Given the weather, there were not many customers, but there was no rush to the meal; the staff was very welcoming and warm. The presentation and food very good. One of our most enjoyable meals.
