Description: Lavendou, a retreat into the French countryside - a place where life is savored as much as the food. Lavendou is thoroughly French, from the inviting decor to the gracious service and authentic cuisine. But don't expect it to be pretentious. Owner Pascal Cayet is dedicated to providing service that is friendly and efficient. And you will find Chef Francois Soyez's menu to be deliciously approachable. Serving the lighter fare of Southern France, Lavendou offers many items to tempt your taste buds.

Lavendou has a very nice menu of classic French provincial dishes. The food is excellent, the ambiance is terrific and the price reasonable. I love the quality of the food, the selections and the awesome service. Certainly a favorite and certainly as good as it gets for a French provincial fete! Try this even if it's a 30 minute drive,... We had a special occasion family dinner on a busy Saturday night. No issues booking or getting to table on time. Menu features all the classics you would expect--steaks frites au poivre, mussels, duck & sole. All were prepared well. Duck was a favorite with cassis and the sauce with the mussels was superb. The special filet of sole with... More

My husband and I recently dined at Lavendou for a Valentine's Day dinner a day early. We were really looking forward to celebrating the occasion with a good meal at a nice restaurant. When we arrived, we were shown to a table that was crammed in between another table and a serving station. There were too many tables in the... More

The food is comfort food French style. The crepes, steak frites, and really everything on the menu is very very good. I enjoy it with friends and with family. If you enjoy good food with an atmosphere of "quiet elegance", then I think you will enjoy Lavendou.

Very disappointed doesn't really cover the experience. The waiter and the receptionist must have been from Paris as they had the Parisian rudeness. I thought the French like frogs but here the word is Sardines because that is how close all the tables were placed. We were placed with our back against a brick wall. I was so wedged in... More

We went to Lavendou for our anniversary. I made reservations online, asking for a romantic spot, on the side or away from the main eating area. I wrote on the reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary. The food was great, the staff attentive but not hovering, and we were seated in a lovely, quiet area of the restaurant. As... We sat at the bar on a pretty busy Saturday night. The people working here are very friendly and went out of their way to serve us great food, wine and a warm and fun atmosphere. We shared 3 appetizers: thinly-sliced smoked salmon, steamed mussels in a light white wine, cream sauce and shrimp in phillo pastry over baby greens.... More

It was our first visit, for a weekday lunch. We were pleasantly greeted at the door by Robert, who was the only server on duty that day. He was friendly and quite knowledgeable about the menu, and was also honest, something not always easy to find. Even though busy he took the time to answer our questions and to make... More

Last night (a Tuesday) we dined at Lavendou for the first time. Everything about the meal was superb, from the moment we opened the doors until the owner held the door for us and thanked us for coming as we left. Their menu features a wide choice of delectable dishes to make the pickiest French food lover drool in anticipation.... More
