Description: Lavendou, a retreat into the French countryside - a place where life is savored as much as the food. Lavendou is thoroughly French, from the inviting decor to the gracious service and authentic cuisine. But don't expect it to be pretentious. Owner Pascal Cayet is dedicated to providing service that is friendly and efficient. And you will find Chef Francois Soyez's menu to be deliciously approachable. Serving the lighter fare of Southern France, Lavendou offers many items to tempt your taste buds.

I always look forward to our next meal at Lavendou. Each visit makes us want to come again and again. The service is always excellent and the restaurant doesn't feel stuffy like some other restaurants of this caliber. Try it. You'll love it.

Nestled in a hidden neighborhood, this French Bristo will amaze you both in service and taste. Both the front and back of the house are to be highly praised. Table settings are very attractive and the service great. Even when the server seemed to not understand my request the owner was on the spot to solve the misunderstanding. The food... More

Six of us went to dinner on September 19, 2014. I have lived in the Dallas/Plano area for over 14 years. I am very sorry that I have not eaten here before. WOW, what delicious food! And the wine selection was fabulous. We all tried a bit of each other's entrees. The pork tenderloin, lamb, tournedos and fish were spectacular.... More

This is truly a great place to impress your date or just have a great night out. The food was prepared so carefully, my steak was exactly as ordered, the service was incredible. Did I tell you the food (and the choices) are excellent! Excellent wine list!

It is always a wonderful experience to visit. All of the staff and management is friendly. Our glasses and bread basket are always full. Service and food are very good. We order escargot every time and try something new for the entree. We have enjoyed everything so far. The lavender tea is addictive.

Went to this restaurant as they were participating in the Restaurant Week event. A portion of the proceeds goes to the local food bank. The restaurant was very busy, as expected for Friday night. We had reservations and were seated after a brief wait. The staff were very attentive and the food was cooked perfectly. I will definitely return. I... More

"Lavendou" sounds very French, and the earthy mustardy yellow awning outside the restaurant (photo attached) imparts a French Provence flair. The restaurant has quite a few rooms and tablecloths are in various yellow, blue Provincial patterns. The service are attentive and efficient. Most dishes we ordered did not appear to be specifically cooked in Provence style though. Nevertheless, lamp chops... More

The food was very good but a little pricy. I would recommend this for special occasions. Though we had lunch, I think it would make a romantic date night. Lovely French atmosphere.

Quaint French provincial restaurant with great atmosphere (inside or outside), terrific service, and fantastic food. Please, please, please try the fried goat cheese salad. Wonderful! And the strawberry soufflé is extraordinary! And everything in-between is more than delicious! The service is fantastic!
