Atmosphere would be very nice and pleasant if it wasn't so noisy, we almost couldn't hear the waiter nor the person setting next to each of us. The waiter was friendly and provided good service. One person had the Rack of Lamb$37, another the Roasted Duck $29 which they thought were decent. I had the Gambas $28 consisting of 4... More

I had the French Onion Soup and the Filet de Porc au Miel de Lavande Pork Tenderloin with Lavender Honey served with Roasted Potatoes. Both were excellent as well as the service and the atmosphere. Definitely saving this one so I can find it again.

We were having sleet and very cold temperatures that evening and not sure the restaurant would be open. Given the weather, there were not many customers, but there was no rush to the meal; the staff was very welcoming and warm. The presentation and food very good. One of our most enjoyable meals.

When you've had a wonderful experience at a restaurant, you are behooved to visit the establishment again for verification. Well, we were enchanted yet again. The food was excellent. The service was spot on. And, we had musical entertainment in the form of a chanteuse to add to the enjoyment. Our waiter was lovely and attentive. The food (we both... More

Took my wife here on Valentine's Day, it was our first experience eating at a French restaurant. The outside was very well lit and looked romantic, upon entering however we were overwhelmed with the noise. We were expecting a more hushed environment with it being Valentine's night and couples having a romantic time. The tables were very close but our... More

Mix together delicious food, attentive service AND live entertainment of a serenading, jazzy guitar playing sort and you end with the PERFECT Tuesday night dinner spot. We just happened upon Lavendou last Tuesday evening because it's not far from home, has what appears to be a nice, little outdoor seating area (looking forward to this come Springtime) and decided we... We had a reservation for Valentine's Day for 5:30. They had a special menu (my wife said she saw some others order off the regular menu) and if you could order from the regular menu, we were not told so. Our waiter apparently had just finished smoking because he wreaked of it when he came to our table. He took... More

This is a really lovely little gem of a restaurant in northern Dallas that we just discovered. I can't speak for others who wrote less than stellar reviews but we have always found the staff extremely friendly and helpful-best yet they know not to hover neat the table. The food is very good to excellent. They use very high quality... More

I have been going to this restaurant for years now and it has been consistently very good. It is French styled with wonderful varieties: I often have the duck, but recently tried a special with sole with crab topping. Wonderful. If you are hungry, try the cassoulet. It is large and wonderful with lamb, duck, etc. The souffle dessert is... More
