Description: Lavendou, a retreat into the French countryside - a place where life is savored as much as the food. Lavendou is thoroughly French, from the inviting decor to the gracious service and authentic cuisine. But don't expect it to be pretentious. Owner Pascal Cayet is dedicated to providing service that is friendly and efficient. And you will find Chef Francois Soyez's menu to be deliciously approachable. Serving the lighter fare of Southern France, Lavendou offers many items to tempt your taste buds.

Quaint French provincial restaurant with great atmosphere (inside or outside), terrific service, and fantastic food. Please, please, please try the fried goat cheese salad. Wonderful! And the strawberry soufflé is extraordinary! And everything in-between is more than delicious! The service is fantastic!

We dined here recently and could not have been more pleased with our experience. We had to change the time of our reservation, was not a problem at all. The service staff was very professional and allowed us to linger over our delicious dinner. The escargot were the best we had ever had any where. The Tournedos Felix Faure and... More

It is a lovely country French styled restaurant -- exposed brick, rush seated chairs, the blue and yellow fabrics. I've met girlfriends for lunch -- thoroughly enjoyed it -- and have gone for high tea, which is wonderful. I dropped the rating one notch because of Valentine's Day. I made reservations weeks in advance and checked on it a week... More

We visited this French Restaurant based upon D magazine top restaurant. This place sits off into the back of the strip center. The patio was very well kept with white table cloth. The solo waiter did not want to seat us in our requested table at 1st. Insisting further he relented. Another older couple was not successful. They wanted the... More

My family have dined at Lavendou many times, but our last experience was what drove me to write this review. Simply put, I have never had a better steak at a restaurant in the USA (and I'm a harsh judge of steaks). We went recently for Mother's Day brunch, and the menu had something for everyone. I started with the... More

I have been to Lavendou many times, and with the exception of one "off" night, the food has always been very good. Great wine list, great bistro food, great atmosphere. Service always wonderful, and I love that most of the employees are actually French. It is a joy to visit, as I spent a year in Paris, and have travelled... More

Met for lunch. We hoped to eat outside but mother nature determined that it was too windy. Restaurant was comfortably crowded. Ice tea was fresh and tasty. Asparagus soup was smooth and well seasoned. House salad was crispy. My companion and I both had the Assiete de Legumes - Vegetable Plate with Linguini. The sauteed vegetables - squash, mushrooms, red... More

From the welcome at the door to the good night as we left, it was a wonderful dinning experience. Our waiter was very knowledgeable on both the menu and the wine pairing. Everything was served at the correct temperature. The escargots were amazing and the onion soup was as good as we have had in Paris. Don't forget desert and... More

Lavendou has a very nice menu of classic French provincial dishes. The food is excellent, the ambiance is terrific and the price reasonable. I love the quality of the food, the selections and the awesome service. Certainly a favorite and certainly as good as it gets for a French provincial fete! Try this even if it's a 30 minute drive,... We had a special occasion family dinner on a busy Saturday night. No issues booking or getting to table on time. Menu features all the classics you would expect--steaks frites au poivre, mussels, duck & sole. All were prepared well. Duck was a favorite with cassis and the sauce with the mussels was superb. The special filet of sole with... More
