Description: Lavendou, a retreat into the French countryside - a place where life is savored as much as the food. Lavendou is thoroughly French, from the inviting decor to the gracious service and authentic cuisine. But don't expect it to be pretentious. Owner Pascal Cayet is dedicated to providing service that is friendly and efficient. And you will find Chef Francois Soyez's menu to be deliciously approachable. Serving the lighter fare of Southern France, Lavendou offers many items to tempt your taste buds.

I love French food! I love Lavendou! This is by far one of the best French restaurants I've eaten at. Everything from start to finish was just great. Start with the Foie Gras Pate...delightful. The main course (duck) was cooked perfectly. Pascal (the owner) is always a joy to talk with and is most accommodating. Go...you'll love Lavendou too!

Going out to dinner New Year's Eve can be dicey at best. However, this year we decided to chance our date-night spot since their prix fixe menu included all our favorites at a realistic price. Our meal was superb! A generous array of seafood in puff pastry came as a starter followed by a super-sized slab of melt-in-the-mouth Beef Wellington... More

I thought it was good - bread with olive oil which always makes me feel well disposed to a restaurant. Chicken was delicious - the cheapest on the menu, apart from some spaghetti thing that looked nice too. Had a Belgian beer - it was fine, as it always is, and needless to say better than Miller Lite. Wait staff... More

We have been to many teas and I would put this tea experience on the bottom of the list and would not do it again. Snobby waiter (we all agreed on that) and poor assortment (3) of finger sandwiches. One of the party had coffee and she had to ask for a refill each time. Scones were tiny but good... More

To compare to Old Warsaw restaurant(the best french cusine and excellent service) this restaurant has to ours opinions good food and service (we received) could be much better. And smells from our waitress (from smoking) was horrible. His name is Bernd.Table 22. It was my birthday party(December 5 2014) Next time we'll look for different places to go.

The food and service is always spot on. I love good French food, but some tend to be a bit stuffy. This little spot in north Dallas is a breath of fresh air for those that love fine food in a casual, friendly environment. My partner always gets the duck and raves incessantly about it. I tend to do one... More

Took our daughter and hubby to dinner for her birthday at one my old favorites! Lovingly greeted by "our" waiter who deliciously described the real thing -- fresh dover sole! I almost never finish my entre - BUT this was beyond delicious! Finished the evening with their signature soufle and champagne for our birthday girl! Planning our return trip soon!

They open at 11:30 AM on Saturdays and weekdays. Enjoyed an unhurried meal with family members. Stand-outs were the tomato basil soup du jour, the fish of the day, which was grilled mahi mahi with a burre blanc sauce that was so smooth and buttery! The house smoked salmon appetizer was so tasty, and the goat cheese salad was FRESH... More

I always enjoy this restaurant. Good food and good service. Tonight I had the linguine pasta with spinach, mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes with added shrimp (extra) along with their signature french onion soup. Always delicious. My only complaint is that it's too dark. I had to go into the lighted bar to read the menu.

Excellent food, excellent service and excellent ambiance. What more could you ask for? Whether you are opting for a special occasion or just a really fine meal, Lavendou is a definite choice. This is not our first outing with them and definitely will not be our last. My husband and I have eaten all over the world and this is... More
