Great Food, small old place

The Dairyette has been around since the 1950's and the place looks like VERY little has changed in those years. It is small and funky, but that is part of its charm. It still offers drive up food service to this day. Once you get seated and order, you will be glad you went. The burgers and... read more

My wife of 40 years grew up in East Dallas and went to Dairy-Ette when she was in high school. It's been around for a while and the best thing about it is, nothing much has changed. They don't serve a fancy burger like Twisted Root or Stack House, just a very old-fashioned blue-collar burger with just the right amount... More

Dairy-Ette has some great burgers.... double meat, fresh bun. We discussed why the meat is so tasty on this visit, and decided they use a hot grill which gives a good char to the patties. Very fresh vegetables like lettuce and tomato. Ice cream float with root beer is like what I had as kid. Very small, but very friendly... More

And it is so yummy! We have been coming her since I was a kid. It seems as if nothing has changed. Frosted mug root beer is my favorite! Their hamburgers are good and made to order. But remember to only park under the awning if you are going to need a car hop! Fun place to sit in your... More

My order was incomplete. I was charged two times for the same order. Staff refused to correct the problem. Staff members were using profanity to one another. The only thing that was pleasing was the music playing in the background. I will not go back. There's better burger joints.

because you ARE in a 50s place! It's like time stood still at the Dairy-ette! If you want so old-fashion burgers, great root beer in a frost mug and so great service, head over there right now! The root beer floats are great too!

As a local, I can tell you that this place is worth a visit. The hamburgers are great, the fries are just ok, but what really makes my mouth water are the root beer floats. Homemade vanilla soft serve and homemade root beer team up to make a creamy, easy drinking, and delicious float. Floats are served in frozen glass... More

This is a fun place an old 50 's drive in, with both car side service and tables and counter inside. Not the prettiest by any means, but who cares the root beer is home made, the fries are some of the best in Dallas, and the double burger with chili, onions, cheese and mustard is to die for. Really... More

For a long time, I have been on a quest to find the best rootbeer. I'm not sure if the Dairy-ette has THE best rootbeer or not, but it sure is good. Served ice cold in a frosty mug with a damn good burger. I've googled "best burger in Dallas" a couple of times and the Dairy-ette always seems to... More

The address says Dallas, but the surrounding does not like Dallas. it is an old neighborhood and an old establishment (since 1956). I was a tourist in Dallas and local friends took me there. They claim the place did not change for decays. We had a root beer (home made) and fries (freshly cut) but I could smells the greasy... More
