I am still thinking about the overstuffed cheese enchiladas I had at El Jordan when I was visiting Dallas recently. The Bishop Arts area has a reputation for high prices, but El Jordan is keepin' it real with reasonable prices and great food. Friendly staff, too. No wonder it is one of my folks' favorites.

I have tried to call the restaurant numerous times in November and December during business hours and the phone was never answered. I have driven to Bishop Avenue twice (during lunch business hours) in two months and both times the shades were drawn and a closed sign was posted. I think they are out of business. Is it true?!

I am addicted to their Mexican oatmeal with sugar and cinnamon. It is SO delicious. Very affordable meal with many options. Also a favorite, huevos rancheros. :)

Just ate lunch at El Jordan. The fish soup was very spicy, fresh and great-tasting. Veggie quesadilla was stuffed full of winter squashes, mushrooms and cheese. Beef tacos tasted good and not greasy. And the prices are very reasonable esp. for Bishop arts District area.

The place is not honest. Due to language barrier it always seems they pad your bill. Not expensive just too many other Mexican Restaurants to eat to choose one that you do not feel is honest. The food is fine but nothing special.

This is generally considered a great local breakfast venue. If you're in the mood for tasty breakfast tacos, or good simple mexican egg dishes this is a good spot. It's very inexpensive and the family owners are a pleasure

This small Oak Cliff restaurant has great affordable breakfasts and offers flavorful Mexican breakfast choices, as well as the standard bacon, eggs and pancakes fare. Seating is limited, though tables turn relatively quickly. We like the breakfast burritos and they're a bargain, too. We can feed the entire family for under $20. Only open for breakfast and lunch, this is... More
