Both Texas and true southern BBQ

Texas home to beef brisket, it was nice to see pork on the menu. The homemade spicy vinegar based sauce paired perfectly with pulled pork. The ribs, brisket and buns also were magnificent. We got ours to go and it kept well for the ride.

This is a classic Texas Barbecue--Plates Full of Brisket. Atmosphere is very casual and load with plenty of room for larger seatings. We had 20 people that were handled easily. I was told that the place is crowded during the week and lunch but there were just a few other tables being used while we were there. Beer Selection is... More

The smell is yummy when you walk thru the door. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Only one choice of sauce but it was good. Enjoyed the smoked turkey. Pulled chicken was very moist. Husband loved his ribs. Fun to be in a room surrounded by garage doors. Kids enjoyed it.

Family in town visiting in hospital district so this was a convenient place to go....these family members consider BBQ to be pulled pork on a bun with coleslaw inside ...everyone really enjoyed the ribs...just enough mouth feel but still tender as a mother-in-law's heart...the sauce is good enough I would buy at grocery store if available....unfortunately, that's about where the... We had a combo plate with pulled chicken, pulled beef and the ribs. The food was good, but I have had better. The sauce is very good and served in beer bottles. The onion rings and cole saw as sides were delicious and fresh. The only negative point is that the food was not served very hot. But a good... More

The pulled chicken was great, not dry at all, super tender. The ribs were rockin, the turkey was tasty, the sausage was superb and the pulled pork was perfect. Had macaroni and cheese, cole slaw and nice, hot fresh rolls on the side. The barbecue sauce is delicious, not too spicy, and served warm. Reasonable prices, fast service.

It was too cold and wet for Fort Worth stockyard but we wanted a smoked BBQ dinner, and our friends recommended Sonny Bryans in Lovers Lane. The brisket was excellent, pulled pork very good, ribs less so. Onion rings, fresh rolls, and other veg good, and peach cobbler a la mode filled everybody up. Not luxurious but relaxing. Serves beer.

We had dinner at this restaurant last night and enjoyed it very much. The food was nice and hot and very tasty. The ribs were a big hit with my parents and the combo plate gave you the option to pick a few different meats and sides. The price wasn't too bad. In all, a great little restaurant and would... We'll definable be eating here for lunch again. It's a small and cozy place in the West End and within walking distance of most downtown attractions. There's a parking lot directly behind Sonny Bryan's that costs $8 per day. The prices were a little on the high side for barbecue, but we didn't leave hungry.
