I joined my work colleagues here for a group meal while attending a conference. It was a big mistake - I just about had enough to eat. I mistakenly assumed they would have some sort of fish - but nope. As a veggie, our options are the veggie dish which is basically 5 of the sides the meat eaters have... More

There is nothing at all wrong with this place. But it is average across the boards. They have in essence average food. It is good but if you are actively going to look for a BBQ place this will not be high on the list. It is one of those places and we have many in the metro plex that... More

We stopped here on our way to Love Field. We wanted some real Texas BBQ and our wish was granted! The food was fantastic! The inside had vintage school desks to sit at. The brisket sandwich and onion rings make ya wanna slap your grandma! Love the warm bottle of BBQ sauce. Yee haw!

I had a hankering for BBQ - Texas style and was told the place to get it was Sonny Bryan's Smokehouse. So off I went to enjoy an evening of BBQ. Finding the place was no problem, easy to get to - on Inwood Rd between a Salvation Army Thrift Store and a Liquor Store. So - watch out for... More

Having lived in Dallas and worked just down the road, I have eaten at SB's on Inwood many times in the mid-1990's. The BBQ was very similar and (unfortunately) the atmosphere was too. My last visit in 1997 might have been the last time a capital investment was made. But on to the BBQ, the pulled chicken and onion rings... More

I had the 3/4 combo plate. OMG it was the best. The onion rings and cole slaw was good also. Old school seating reminds you of school desk. Not so big but the food is great. That is where the best food comes from small places. Additional seating next door. Will visit again when in the area.

I had a combo plate with a few onion rings. The food was excellent - flavor, portion size, etc….I love that it is no frills. Seating is limited in the main building and isn't a table for a group just seats lined up along the well. However, there is plenty of additional seating in an adjoining building. As a first... More

I started coming here longer ago than I can recall. It's consistently delicious. The portions are large...beware...usually I overestimate my capacity and leave some behind. Try the pulled pork...one of my favorites. Actually it's all good!

Wonderful “hole in the wall” barbecue joint. And “hole in the wall” isn’t meant as derogatory. In my world, the best barbecue comes from these old-school, rough-around-the-edges places. And the Original Sonny Bryan’s is a case in point. Amble up to the counter and place your order – ribs, turkey, pulled pork, pulled chicken, sausages and, of course, brisket. Combo... More

The price was reasonable for delicious meats and sides. We had ribs, pull pork, sliced beef, sausage, potato salad, cole slaw, onion rings and fries. Everything tasted great. Pleasant staff took our order. The only strike against the place was the flies around the food.
