Good Grubbin'

We took our family of 6 for dinner tonight, and enjoyed our experience. The meat was a little cold and obviously not fresh, and it seems that a little effort could really improve the look of the place, but overall it wasn't bad.

The amount of food I ate at this plate should be deemed illegal. We had everything from pull pork, sausage, jalapeño sausage, brisket, chicken wings, ribs, beens, macaroni and some more. Wow home made bbq sauce, everything in here is good. Go hungry and eat your heart out. Prices are very affordable, you won't break the bank I guarantee you.

I remember standing in line at 11 am to make sure that the Sunny Bryan barbecue didn't run out. Those days are long gone as its now a chain that stays open until 9 pm. I had the three meat plate. Would have gone for a rack of pork ribs or a pound of brisket, but that wasn't on the... More

I saw this place on TV and decided to try it. We were really impressed with the ribs and the pulled pork sandwich. The onion rings are very good too. I will definitely be back.

The meat was tough yet fell off the bone. BBQ sauce was average. My husband loves onion rings and rated these a zero. They were mushy and the onion pulled out with the first bite. We travel a lot and have tried many a BBQ joint around the country and Oklahoma Joe's in Kansas City still can't be beat.

An awesome platter of pulled pork, sausage & ribs. I had fries & baked beans for my sides with an orange soda. I was in hog heaven. The ribs were fall off the bone tender & did not need the sauce that was provided. The pulled pork was seasoned just right with the hint of black pepper that gave it... More

Very disappointing. For years Sonny Bryan's was the Q place in our part of the world. Sadly, to my taste anyway, those days are long gone. Had lunch there today after an appointment across the street. Wife and I both got the sliced brisket plate (see attached photo). The beef was surely tender enough but was totally, I mean TOTALLY,... Texas home to beef brisket, it was nice to see pork on the menu. The homemade spicy vinegar based sauce paired perfectly with pulled pork. The ribs, brisket and buns also were magnificent. We got ours to go and it kept well for the ride.

This is a classic Texas Barbecue--Plates Full of Brisket. Atmosphere is very casual and load with plenty of room for larger seatings. We had 20 people that were handled easily. I was told that the place is crowded during the week and lunch but there were just a few other tables being used while we were there. Beer Selection is... More
