I was able to snag a little piece of meat but my braces have basically ruined eating ribs for me for a while. But what I did taste was awesome! I ended up ordering a stuffed baked potato (the skin of which is covered in coarse salt & pepper!), which had shredded brisket and barbecue sauce on it. The fried... More

I was on a trip through Texas and thought here is a last chance for some great Tx bbq. I got a bbq pork sandwich, my litmus test for BBQ. The amount served was good but the flavor of the meat and of the bbq sauce was not anything special. The service was prompt, price reasonable. I went to the... More

I ordered a two-meat-plate- ribs and chicken. Couldn't finished eating it all but really wish I could have, as it was so tasty and can't find it any more here in Beijing. People say Texas barbecuer is different from Kansas's, but I couldn't tell the different-- They were just equally as good. It looked a little shabby where you wait... More

We love coming back here whenever we can; the barbeque is the best. There aren't better fried pies anywhere. They have several sugar-free flavors that are delicious, too. Friendly, fun, and fine food.

It was great to take some of my fellow foreign visitors to an authentic rib house. It's superclean and the food is crazy tasty. Their beans are probably the pick of the bunch.

I was in town for a conference and looked for a place to eat BBQ close by downtown. This isn't immediately downtown but was a 5 minute drive. The prices were very reasonable and the meat was really good. They also have fabulous "fried pies" available. I got the Pecan pie and I should've gotten a few of the frozen... More

Even better than Grandma used to make because these are fried in peanut oil. Every single flavor melts in your mouth, and even the crust is delectable (I almost always throw crusts away, but not here!). I've tried the serves-as-a-meal Tex-Mex one, and it filled me full. The cherry, apricot, and peach are all fabulous in my mouth ;-) My... More

Baker's Ribs, located just east of downtown Dallas is east it get to and, unlike most downtown restaurants, has ample parking. Initially, we drove past the restaurant, but after driving a few blocks, we decided to go back and try it for lunch; were not disappointed. The ribs were juicy, tender, and had a nice smoky flavor. The sides were... More
