I was in town for a conference and looked for a place to eat BBQ close by downtown. This isn't immediately downtown but was a 5 minute drive. The prices were very reasonable and the meat was really good. They also have fabulous "fried pies" available. I got the Pecan pie and I should've gotten a few of the frozen... More

Even better than Grandma used to make because these are fried in peanut oil. Every single flavor melts in your mouth, and even the crust is delectable (I almost always throw crusts away, but not here!). I've tried the serves-as-a-meal Tex-Mex one, and it filled me full. The cherry, apricot, and peach are all fabulous in my mouth ;-) My... More

Baker's Ribs, located just east of downtown Dallas is east it get to and, unlike most downtown restaurants, has ample parking. Initially, we drove past the restaurant, but after driving a few blocks, we decided to go back and try it for lunch; were not disappointed. The ribs were juicy, tender, and had a nice smoky flavor. The sides were... More

Ordered half pound ribs and a half pound brisket. I was there for the BBQ and did not want to be distracted by sides. My partner did however order 2 sides - potato salad and mac and cheese. The potato salad was quite good as I did steal a taste. I found the brisket to be tasty but a bit... More

Extremely well priced BBQ. Brisket was tender, sauce was not too sweet. Very home style restaurant. My dining companions really enjoyed the ribs-fell off the bones. Great variety of sides. I think the potato salad is the best I have had in years. We went on a Friday night and while the take out was busy we were the only... More

This was actually my second choice. My first pick had just closed. I certainly don't feel like I lost out. Even though this was a take-out order, and I didn't actually start eating it for an hour, the chicken was juicy and cooked very nicely. The ribs were very good, too. Thought the combo was priced reasonably, too. Oh, there's... More

Loved the ribs and the brisket. Sauce is exactly as I like it. Best bbq that I have eaten in the Dallas area although I have yet to try the place at the Farmers Market that everyone is raving about.

Baker's Ribs BBQ is really a great value for the money. The menu choices are good and prices very reasonable. Chopped beef is yummy, add their sauce and it's a good as any I've ever had. The chicken is moist and flavorful. The baked potato is delicious. Fried pies for the brave ones with an appetite. The Deep Ellum restaurant... More

Here it is Memorial weekend and I have a choice. I can either go to Soulmans's BBQ or Baker's Ribs BBQ. So I thought for a minute and decided on Bakers Ribs ( wanted their fried pies) / Mouth was watering for Ribs . Now I will tell you that I don't eat ribs very seldom because I feel that... More

Baker's Ribs in Deep Ellum is one of my favorite Texas BBQ restaurants!!! The baked potato with chopped beef on top is delicious! Around $8.75! Easy to get to and free parking, it is so fast, faaasssstttt and really good quality!!! I rate this 5 stars because it is one of the best tasting BBQ in Texas just as good... More
