Fried Pies

After dinner we wanted to try the fried pies everyone was talking about. WOW. They are delicious. Flaky crust and warm filling. The peach and blackberry were the best. Only 3.50 each so a cheap dessert.

Brisket and their veggies is what I expected to enjoy the most. But the ribs knocked me out. So smoky and delicious. The two salads were also top notch. Friendly people too. Lots of parking and even an upper deck for niece skyline views.

Stopped in while I was visiting Dallas and I wanted to have some good BBQ. The brisket here was fantastic as were the sides, I had to have a double helping of the mac and cheese. The decor is funky and the atmosphere is very relaxed, perfect for eating barbecue on a hot day. Definitely worth your while to visit... More

The place looks like a renovated garage-real funky and well done. I try BBQ where ever I travel and learned learned about good BBQ while I was dating the man who is now my husband. This was the perfect combination for me, pulled pork that fell apart on its own, sauce a little sweet and thick, a little spicy, a... More

Texas is proud of their bbq so I was looking forward to experiencing this local eatery. Flying Pig painted on the outside brick wall and a pile of wood near a large smoker promised a bit more than what was delivered. Small main floor space when you walk in with an aged walk up counter to order at. Most of... More

We ate at Bakers Ribs on a busy night when an Art Fair was held on an adjacent street. To be fair, we only found Baker;s by accident as the restaurant we had set out for was sold out, The people at the counter were very eager to please, and helped us quickly. You could tell that it had been... More

I love BBQ! Makes me excited to try new places as i travel. I originally planned on visiting a different place a few blocks away but they were closed. I ordred a half pound of sausage, brisket and ribs of course. The "Texas Trio." The sausage is nothing special. Its eckrich sausage. I should not have to review that. The... More

I was able to snag a little piece of meat but my braces have basically ruined eating ribs for me for a while. But what I did taste was awesome! I ended up ordering a stuffed baked potato (the skin of which is covered in coarse salt & pepper!), which had shredded brisket and barbecue sauce on it. The fried... More
