Don't let the low key exterior fool you...go on in and enjoy OUTSTANDING BBQ! I always struggle between the brisket and the pork sandwich. Sometimes I'll come back twice to satisfy my BBQ cravings!

Located in the Park Cities across from the SMU Law School, Peggy Sue is known for its delicious and tender BBQ and awesome onion rings. I've been dining here on and off for over 30 years (I now live out of town) and enjoy returning every chance I get.

I ordered the pulled fatty beef steak and chicken combo plate. It was the first meal I have finished clean in Dallas, and I am not a big eater! The ambiance was homey, great for get togethers. Loved the food and everything about this barbeque place!

If I could, I'd add an additional 1/2 star (3 1/2). Peggy Sue BBQ is an unassuming little restaurant in the University Park area of Dallas, near the SMU campus. Walking into the restaurant on a Monday night, we were greeted and seated in a booth immediately. It seemed like the place had been there for years, and was decorated... More

Was referred to this place while in Dallas after visiting the George Bush Museum. Right off the campus of SMU, great neighborhood. Food was fantastic. Had the smoked brisket with pulled pork, beans and fried okra for the sides with a fried cherry pie for dessert. Excellent food, would eat there again if/when in the area.

Ate here when it was Howard and Peggy's and glad to see the place reopened and going strong. Was visiting from east of the Mississippi and was hungry for good brisket and Peggy Sue's delivered. A nice spicy sauce top it off. Good job!

fall off bone with excellent sauce and smoke. pulled pork not smoked enough and meats weren't hot, but were heated quickly when requested with no loss in flavor or texture. Also had the brisket, same lack of smoke. get the ribs. they are excellent

I hadn't eaten all day, so I ordered up an immense meat feast. I ended up with a three-meat Full Meal with fatty sliced brisket, sausage, and pulled pork, with Sweet Potater Tots and Hoppin' John on the side. The Sweet Potater Tots are just what they sound like: tater tots made from sweet potatoes. My tots were crispy and... More

We visited Peggy Sue BBQ as part of a college visit with our daughter to Southern Methodist University (right across the street). We wanted traditional, casual good food, and that's exactly what we got! The restaurant is simple - like an older diner- but the food was terrific and the staff were extremely friendly. Plus, it was a great value.... More

While there might be better BBQ in Dallas, Peggy Sue's is still worth visiting. The chopped beef and pulled pork sandwiches are great, and the spicy barbeque sauce is also very good. A place that I will keep coming back to.
