Cozy and Romantic

The perfect setting and an amazing wine selection make this a perfect setting for a romantic evening. The food is rich but delicate, and the staff is accommodating without being intrusive. Cannot wait to head back to Dallas to dine again!

Both me and my husband enjoy good food, doesn't matter it is at a hole in the wall or at a fancy one. My ultimate favorite is the Mansion - elegant dining environment, attentive service, and well-prepared food. It is not as stuffy as the French Room, yet the dining environment is so elegant, you forget you are in Dallas.... More

Still the best tortilla soup in Dallas! Service is always good, food is always delicious. Enjoy the atmosphere and the people here always.

Years ago, I remember my family waiting (and saving) for a special occasion or really just an excuse to go to dinner at the Mansion. They used to have Dean Fearing's world-famous (at least locally world-famous) Tortilla Soup, and the service was impeccable from start to finish. So, my husband and I had our wedding reception there, and what a... More

Six of us dined at the Mansion today celebrating two of our friends' birthdays. Our table on the veranda was very nice. We started with the french toast and shared around the table. Our appetizer course, salads and tortilla soup, was very good. However, our entrees arrived after a longer than usual wait and our food was only lukewarm. This... More

The restaurant is gorgeous. It is expensive so be prepared. You are paying for the location and a nice meal.

Made dinner reservations. Had perfect seats for me to stare at my beautiful wife. Dinner was great. Dessert even better (especially sharing it with my wife). Staff even gave us extra cookies to bring home to our kids.

We had breakfast here. I loved the feeling of the restaurant. Service was great. The menu is really unique and it was hard to select one thing. Our table had the oatmeal, which was good. We also ordered the Huevos Rancheros - very good. Very elegant breakfast. Good place to go for a special occasion.

A couple of friends convinced me to fly to Dallas a day early during a business trip to try this restaurant out. They have been wanting to eat here for years, and the opportunity presented itself. Very classic and old school! The food was superb! However, I was expecting better service since we're paying a good amount of money for... More

On a recent stay at The Mansion, we breakfasted twice in the restaurant and hosted friends for dinner one evening. In each case, the service was superb and the food delicious. Highly recommended for elegant dining near downtown.
