Had the V-Day menu options, I enjoyed my meal very much. The meal started with a glass of Moet, then a egg caviar amuse bouche that I wasn't crazy about. That was followed by a delicious starter that still makes my mouth water, then a delightful striped bass entree, last but not least was dessert. The dessert was decent (the... More

The food is inventive and delicious and the service is top notch. Love the bar area for a pre- meal drink and the outdoor fireplace for after dinner cocktail. Had the lamb which was terrific, if a small portion. Great desserts as well.

Secluded from the busy streets of Uptown, The Mansion is arguably Dallas' most famed restaurant. The presentation of the food appears to be straight from a magazine, yet is incredibly satisfying. The service is top-notch...highly attentive and well-versed waiters cater to your every need. Our server has been working there for over thirty years and is always a pleasure to... More

The perfect setting and an amazing wine selection make this a perfect setting for a romantic evening. The food is rich but delicate, and the staff is accommodating without being intrusive. Cannot wait to head back to Dallas to dine again!

Both me and my husband enjoy good food, doesn't matter it is at a hole in the wall or at a fancy one. My ultimate favorite is the Mansion - elegant dining environment, attentive service, and well-prepared food. It is not as stuffy as the French Room, yet the dining environment is so elegant, you forget you are in Dallas.... More

Years ago, I remember my family waiting (and saving) for a special occasion or really just an excuse to go to dinner at the Mansion. They used to have Dean Fearing's world-famous (at least locally world-famous) Tortilla Soup, and the service was impeccable from start to finish. So, my husband and I had our wedding reception there, and what a... More

Six of us dined at the Mansion today celebrating two of our friends' birthdays. Our table on the veranda was very nice. We started with the french toast and shared around the table. Our appetizer course, salads and tortilla soup, was very good. However, our entrees arrived after a longer than usual wait and our food was only lukewarm. This... More

The restaurant is gorgeous. It is expensive so be prepared. You are paying for the location and a nice meal.
