Average place or less. I have not found this place any special. Seating area is very dark. Service is average.

We went on a Friday night and don't think we will go back. The veal Parmesan was dry but the pasta was just right. My family ordered the meatball with pasta;they enjoyed their meals. The place was too noisy for my taste of ambiance. Sometimes I felt the wait staff contributed to it but then again they too had to... More

We ate at Campisi's, also known as The Egyptian Restaurant on 11/26/14. At first we were not sure we were in the right area of the restaurant as we were not greeted, sat at a table by a host/hostess. We sat ourselves as it was about 4 PM and started looking around for someone to acknowledge us. Finally, Regina Campisi... More

Had been to the Campisi's in Fort Worth and expected similar decor and ambiance. The Dallas original location is much more casual and bar-like. Disappointed as this was a special dinner out for our daughter's 16th birthday. However, the food was good. Best fettuccine Alfredo I've ever had. Pizza was excellent and the ravioli was also good.

We have dined at Campisi's since the 1980's but it has been several years since we have returned there and discovered that the "bloom is definitely off the rose." For years, we would wait in the line behind the big, red upholstery doors waiting for table in the dimly lit restaurant with the rude waitresses and delicious food. It was... More

We head to Campisi's almost every time we go to Dallas for pizza and/or lasagna, but didn't know they had a sunday brunch until recently. They had a great offering of some of Campisi's best items…a variety of pizza, that lasagna with the best meat sauce ever, homemade meatballs, a handful of pasta offerings, vodka chicken and lemon sautéed fish.... I preface this review by saying I have been going to this restaurant since the 1970's, so I may be a little bit prejudice about this place, but I love it. It has history and has been passed down to relatives since the 1940's. I don't live in Dallas any longer, but I do get there a few times a... More

Campisi's is right around the corner from where I work, and it was a convenient location. It was not crowded during peak lunch hour, so we did not have a problem getting a table. We grabbed a menu from the bartender. When you were ready to order, you would order with the bartender. The food was out less than 10... More

I've been here multiple times with friends and family. I like the style, but unfortunately the food and service can be best described as average. I've had alright experiences with the pastas, nothing to write home about. The pizza is mediocre - and that may just be personal preference as I prefer some of the smaller authentic NY style pizza... Old gangster type atmosphere and good food, this is a Dallas must. They have gluten free pizza that actually tastes good. We were there with a large group, so service was not swift, but waitress was attentive. Loved the experience.
