Nice strong espresso in an unexpected location

On a recent trip to Dallas, we tried several coffee shops and this was the best by far. The espresso was good and strong, but not bitter. I used to live in Dallas many moons ago, and had actually never been to this area - nice to have a good coffee shop in this corner of downtown! The only... read more

If you live in Dallas or are visiting near the convention center, Opening Bell Coffee House is a must. The ambiance and decor are one of a kind, and the coffee and service were exceptional. I was visiting from California, and was able to have a great conversation with Pascale, the owner. They sell a coffee crumb cake that is... More

My wife and I were staying at the South Side Nylo. The staff mentioned there was a great coffee shop across the street. We went in expecting to just be there for 30 minutes, then head to dinner. They had a great band there doing classic 70s songs (including a guy from Dashboard Confessional) and the place was packed. Ordered... More

They have a "real" expresso coffee machine. The staff was very nice and prepared my coffee the way I wanted ;-)

We stayed across the street at NYLO (great hotel!) and stopped in hear each day for coffee. The vibe was great, staff was outstanding and the coffee and muffin was great. The shop really seemed to be a part of the community and the owner seems to get what it takes to make a great experience. Definitely a winner!

The title of is this review pretty much summed up my experience. The ladies working were super friendly, the place looked cool and hip, the flavor of the food itself was delish, however, the women over heated my Kolache so much that it was hard to chew. I bet if it hadn't been over nuked, it would have been scrumptious.

This great cafe is awesome for breakfast, lunch and more....I had a delicious coffee concoction, a fresh homemade chicken salad sandwich that was on great bread, and a warm chocolate chip coffee....then to top it off, I was able to return the same day at night to experience the 10th annual Frank Sintra live music tribute. Oh what fun!!! I... More

Loved this place. Great music, cool little vibe and delicious coffee. I was staying at the hotel next door and just walked over - and so happy I did. I ended up starting my nights here too because they have wine (and beer too, but I'm more of a wine gal). If you are in the area, or even if... More

The easy ambience, the food (and desserts), a great selection of local products, up and coming singer/songwriters, friendly helpful staff, good beer and wine selection. I LOVE this place!

We went here for breakfast when staying across the road at the NYLO hotel. Previous Trip Advisor recs suggested breakfasting here and we loved it. Excellent coffees and food aside, most importantly everyone working there was so friendly - as first time visitors to Dallas, they collectively helped plan our whole 2 day tourist itinerary! We loved it.
