Still predictably a great spot, lunch or dinner

It's hard to drive by here. Anytime of the day. I keep waiting for something to fail, it never does. When you have to wait...it will be pretty close to how long they tell you from the beginning. Pick a meal...any meal...done right, perfect portions, and served by someone who is totally into... read more

We had to wait 20 minutes for a table and it was very busy. Have to say it was definitely worth the wait. The food was delicious and the service was timely and friendly. Will definitely return.

Well, for starters, they have the most fabulous spinach dip!!! Get it every time I go there!! AND, they have the BEST french dip sandwich EVER!!! Seriously, if ever I am in Dallas and do not make it to Hillstone for my french dip sandwich, I am so disappointed! Really everything on the menu is wonderful - the restaurant is... More

Great food, nice private booths, high-end and trendy feel, with a delightfully pleasant waitstaff. Always a super place to meet a client at the last minute, or sit at the bar for a great way to meet and get in quickly. Pricy but good burgers, well done steaks and elegant seafood. The Thai salad is the best! Reservations are a... More

Hillstone is a very nice restaurant with very efficient service. My only real problem with it is that they depend on a very heavy use of oil for flavor. While fat is yummy, you can cook very tasty things without so much of it. The grilled artichokes consists of three artichoke halves which are well cooked. They are mildly seasoned... More

Meandered to Hillstone for a late lunch about 2:30 pm. Is there a time of day when they're not busy? The bar was full of excited chatter, and we were escorted immediately to our table. The spinach artichoke dip has not lost any of its deliciousness since my first visit to this restaurant over 10 years ago. I split the... More

Can't ever go wrong here and I learned something new a week ago and that is the Beltline location takes reservations! I went with my mom and sister and we split a whole lot of things. My favorites still include the spinach dip (even left overs were awesome!), prime rib, and the bbq ribs. Actually, I have never had anything... More

Hillstone Restaurant (formerly known as Houston's) is one of my favorite go-to restaurants, primarily because of its always consistent food and service. It is always busy and they don't take reservations, so plan on a brief wait. Their artichoke appetizer is awesome and a must-have. I love their ahi tuna salad and French dip sandwich--the best I have ever had.... More

If you like a nice full body red, try the Mi Sueño. The grilled artichokes are amazing, prime rib or the oriental chicken salad I never can make up my mind. Something that isn't on the menu is the lunch portion prime rib that you can get a dinner time and comes with texas toast (a better deal and plenty... More

My wife and I have dined here for years, and never been disappointed. Today we wanted something simple. We ate at the bar, saw one of our favorite bartenders. We wanted simple today so ordered burgers. Delicious. Had their spicy mayo for dipping the fries. Our favorites here are the smoked salmon appetizer, artichoke appetizer, ribs (oh, the ribs!), trout,... More
