Love me some BBQ, so read the reviews and had to give it a try for my birthday outing. We (group of 4 adults) went on a Saturday night, arriving around 5:30. The line was about 20 customers deep, so the wait was about 25-30 minutes. Our wives saved us a table while we waited in line and got hungrier... More

Great BBQ and some of the best brisket I've had. They have the motto right, No Plates, No Forks, No Sauce - Don't Ask.

FOOD: Gorgeous Texas smoked meet straight from the oven, Pork Ribs, Beef, Chicken...the Add-ons beans were lovely! ATMOSPHERE: You eat from plastic chairs, and with your fingers directly from paper wrap. This is a place Anthony Bourdain would go to. PRICE: 1/4lbs Ribs 6USD, small coleslaw 2,5USD. Comes to maybe 10-15 USD per person. WOULD I RECOMMEND? yes, yes, yes, yes!!! Rarely you... More

These folks make some fine BBQ, even if they ain't those two other n fussing n fighting well known BBQ joints in the city of Lockhart, Texas. Loockhart Smokehouse is doing it right in Dallas, Bishop Arts. The inside has the true feel and smokehouse smell of a South Texas BBQ joint.

When you think of Texas BBQ, Lockhart's has it all: order at the counter, no plates, bench seating, smell of the smoker, beers in mason jars, etc. their brisket had incredible flavor, one of the few places to have beef clod (shoulder) which is a must try, and their turkey is and actual breast. Their rub does have a little... More

We were only in town for the day and our first stop was here. You order by the pound from the back counter-we asked how much to order, and their recommendation was spot on. We ate every single bite of succulent, perfectly seasoned brisket and the jalapeno mac-n-cheese. I've never had brisket that delicious, and I think it ruined the... More

Had dinner here last weekend. As always, the food is very good and reflective of true Texas Barbeque -- served on paper and bought by the pound. Would recommend that you get the Shoulder Clod as it is always good -- moist and tasty. Also had the ribs and they were moist and tasty as well. The sides are always... More
