While visiting Dallas we asked a friend to take us to a great Texas BBQ restaurant and Lockhart's didn't disappoint. We ordered chicken, brisket & sausage to share. Everything was juicy and flavorful. No sauce needed, but it did use some on the chicken because I loved the sweet-spicy combo. We also got a side of baked beans and two... More

the brisket was excellent! I'm not a huge barbeque fan, but loved this. Their sauce was very tasty as well. Nice selection of sides available. S'mores bread pudding was a nice ending to a yummy lunch!

We drove a long way out of the way to try to find some great bbq. We got to lockhart only to find they were sold out until 530. Luckily it was located in a very cute shopping district so we killed some time. When we came back the line was already long. We waited in line patiently. The set... More

I've eaten at Lockhart about seven or eight times. It is pretty good but I'm always a bit disappointed. It is pricey, even for BBQ. They don't have any free beans like a good Texas BBQ joint should. The meat had too much pepper for me in the rub but was tender and tasty. One of the better BBQ places... More

From Memphis, TN and wanted to try some Texas BBQ. My family and I ordered a pound of ribs, a pound of brisket, a large Mac & Cheese,a small Deviled Egg (3), two small Lockhart Slaws, and two drinks. All of tins came to a whopping $55. Compared to BBQ you can find elsewhere I found this to be overpriced.... More

We had a blast! This restaurant was recommended when we asked about "real" Texas barbecue. The whole atmosphere was great, first of all, we took a limo instead of a taxi to the restaurant (we paid $5 more for the experience) we then arranged for him to come back and pick us up. When we arrived, I thought it was... More

For me an average review does not mean I would not go back or it was not good. I would go back. We started ordered ribs, brisket, burnt ends, and I ordered macaroni & cheese (and a Lone Star). The Mac & Cheese was the best. Made with jalapeno and house made bacon. It could be a meal by itself.... More

This review is based on two visits within the last 7 months. In Nov. of 2013 we had sliced brisket, and their clod ( beef shoulder ). The sliced brisket was pretty good. The clod tasted like a pot roast, with less flavor than the brisket. The brisket was not too fatty, and had a nice smoke flavor to it.... More

This was our first "Texas Style BBQ" and it was Awesome! Everything we had (Ribs, Brisket, Jalapeno Sausage, Jalapeno Mac & Cheese) was very good. All was very well smoked, great flavor. I couldn't ask for anything better in terms of taste. I almost always eat my BBQ with sauce, but here it is not needed. If you have to... More

Was recommended by the concierge at out hotel. Having never had bbq before we decided on a little of everything! Spare ribs, jalapeno sausage, brisket and a couple of sides. Washed down with some local brew served in jars! What a satisfying lunch!
