When asking friends from Dallas where to go for brunch they immediately said Smoke! We decided to give it a shot on a rainy Sunday. We arrived and were seated immediatly around 10am. The restaurant has a very 'Austin' feel. Casual, clean, and relaxed. I ordered the pancakes with a side of scrambled egg whites. The pancakes were the best... More

I've been to many brunch spots in Dallas and nothing compares to Smoke. Local, Organic and absolutely delicious. Try the Heavy Handed Blueberry Pancakes with Vanilla Poached Apricots and Cream. My mouth is watering just thinking about them. You may have to wait an hour for a table, but it's completely worth it.

A great location for a business meeting or date night...the deliciousness of authentic Texas BBQ without the dirty picnic table setting! The prices were a bit high for some ribs and brisket, but we had cloth napkins, a waiter with an apron, and a glass carafe of water on our table, so there was no comparison to the typical BBQ... Smoke is the restaurant associated with the Belmont Hotel - an significant architectural entity created by Charles Dilbeck in1946. Tim Byres, executive chef, creates signature house-smoked barbecue dishes, such as chopped coffee cured natural beef brisket, and cabrito. Breakfast is also an adventure at Smoke, with chees grits -hominy casserole accompanying broiled raw sugar grapefruit with toast. Smoke and the... More

I had a fantastic burger - too filling for a small European stomach. Needed a repeat visit or several.

The atmosphere at Smoke was nice, but the food was below average. It was not tasty, and not your typical southern BBQ. We were celebrating a birthday and they even charged us a lot for the birthday treat. With so many BBQ places in the area, try another one.

It was 91 degrees, but perfect temp to sit in the little patio simply situated with picnic tables and adequate shade/umbrellas. Honestly, I didn't fell much like barbecue, but was convinced by the off the beaten track location and local recommendation. First, we arrived after the lunch rush, so there was hardly anyone there on a Friday afternoon. We got... More

My friend and I stumbled into this upscale BBQ restaurant by circumstance. The brisket and ribs were fantastic. The home made sauces were delightful. I was blown away with how welcoming the restaurant was to diverse people since I thought a BBQ would be more traditional and less open.

The food is very good if you stick to the BBQ items. It is more expensive than most BBQ joints, with BBQ joint-like ambiance & good smoky flavors. The brisket sandwich is served with an assortment of sauces to enhance the flavors & I tried each one liking the traditional BBQ sauce & the mustard sauce the best. My husband... More

I went here with my family for Sunday Brunch to celebrate my birthday. Parking situation is not great, but not a real problem. Upon our noon arrival we were told it would be a 45 minute to 1 hour wait, so we grabbed a couple Bloody Mary's (ordered Spicy) and a bottomless Mimosa from the bar. The BM's were SPICY,... More
