This place is great. I had a taste of Clas Azul Tequila to start(my Fav Tequila) , the Guacamole was amazing and the blackened Tilapia was fresh and savory. I will be back soon to try other dishes. Great find!!!

I've written before that I liked the ambiance and vibe of Maximo prior to their renovation in 2013. But two recent visits result in this lowered rating. Although Maximo still has a great "Heat" margarita, the quality of their food has apparently been downgraded. I ordered my standard Bandera salad for lunch earlier this week, and to say that the... We dined on a Saturday...just in time for happy hour. We were thrilled with the service from Sam and Pete, the manager. The margaritas were fabulous. We had the Maximo Heat and the Paloma. The Santos beer was delicious. The warm, roasted tomato salsa was amazing. We will definitely make this a regular stop when around the Galleria.

Food was mediocre. We were there on business and expected good Mexican in Dallas...disappointed. Ask a local for a recommendation - we didn't, mistake!

We're regulars at Maximo, having dinner there about once a month. The decor gives the place a cool vibe, with dark lighting and bright red tables. Though they've moved their entrance so you no longer come in through the big wooden door that we always liked. The drinks and food never disappoint. The Maximo Heat margarita with jalapeno is good... The space is impressive, and the food is average at best. I found out that the space was taken over from a steak house that failed. It was an impressive development, and Maximo was able to get in the space for a bargain. That explains the average food and expensive setting. Not really worth it.

And the chips with three dips! My go-to business eatery got a more casual facelift. Went today for lunch, alone, and enjoyed the bandera salad with blackened salmon. The formerly cozy and funky bar is less so and the service was so so, despite only a few patrons. The Carne asada here is excellent, as are the tacos al carbon.... More

Wow!!! What a meal and service. Edward was our server tonight. He is one of the best servers we have ever had. We have traveled all over the US and all I can say is great food and service. I had the Shrimp Abril and my husband had chile rellino stuffed with shrimp. For dessert we had the crepes. Don't... More

We came here for a company dinner with about 50 people. The service was good and the food excellent. The chips and fire roasted salsa was the best I have ever tasted. I usually don't eat the salsa because I don't like it to spicy and it always is. Here it was perfect, I must have eaten the entire bowl... More

We ordered the seasonal ceviche - watermelon and ahi tuna. It was excellent and made table side. The restaurant used to have three salsas that came complimentary. The smokey salsa and chips still comes and is excellent. Chips are made in house and are awesome. The green jalapeño salsa is still available for $1 more. The pineapple salsa was not... More
