Great Brunch!

My wife and I dined with our two nieces (ages 3 and 5) at Bread Winners for brunch on a Sunday morning in mid-July. My wife had biscuits and gravy, I had the "basic breakfast" of bacon, eggs, potatoes, and toast, while our nieces each had a cinnamon roll. Total: $24, not including tip. We've... read more

This restaurant is so good. We went there because we met a local who recommended it. It was easy to get to because it is on the trolley loop. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had breakfast and there were many choices. When we sat down, they served us slices of three different homemade breads with our coffee. I... More

One of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. Nice variety on menu with different daily specials. They also serve a remarkably varied brunch menu. On weekends you'll find a long wait. They also have a bakery, serving pies, cakes, cookies and breads. The wait staff is wonderful. We dine here so often that several know us by name. Highly recommend!

Breadwinners is one of the restaurant you cannot miss in this city. The breakfast and brunch come in very decent portions, at very affordable price. This is also a great place for brunch. Service is also excellent. The wait for a table can get pretty long, especially on the weekends. But it's definitely worth the wait!

This was our first visit to the McKinney Avenue Bread Winners Cafe. After trolley ride on the Mckinney Avenue trolley line this was an excellent place to stop for an early dinner. This is a very popular spot and was a happening place on Friday night. The food and service are consistently good at breadwinners and this was no exception.... More

Have you ever entered a restaurant and after being seated wonder why you are there? Well—that was the case today. We were seated promptly even though there were lost of customers. It was almost 100 degrees and the hostess wanted to know if we wanted to sit outside. In 100 degree temperature---NO WAY! We were greeted by a young waiter... More

Went with the family Memorial Day morning for brunch. The breads they bring to your table were fresh and delicious. We all had something different from the menu and everybody raved. I had two eggs with the biscuits and sausage gravy and I couldn't finish it all. I will definitely come back and try something different each time. Service was... More

Everyone raves about this place for brunch and don't get me wrong it's good, but I just find it to be overrated. I've never had anything here that floored me, and most of the brunch options are super heavy or really sweet. Not to mention you have to wait an hour for a table... Again, the food is good but... Enjoyed brunch here on a Sunday morning - very old refurbished building with great charm and character. Mostly young attentive staff and good food. I had the McKinney egg scramble - tasty!
