My brother, his wife, my husband, and I had a marvelous Christmas lunch at Ruggeri's Italian restaurant in Dallas. Old style elegance with experienced wait staff. The Cappucino Pie dessert is to die for. Reservations recommended and it is pricey. However, for a special occasion, it is perfect.

Friendly staff and a great Italian menu. We're relatively new to PHollow so just now exploring the local dining spots. I was impressed that Tom came by and introduced himself to us on our second visit and Eduardo is officially our "favorite" waiter. During our last visit we purchased a bottle of wine and also brought a special bottle from... More

This is a promising restaurant. It has high aspirations. There's obviously a loyal clientele. The menu is ok, and the food has its merits. But there are problems that need to be fixed. It begins with the service. There were lots of waitpersons hovering around us, but no one took responsibility for us, and it took considerable effort to get... More

We have been eating at Ruggeri's since Tom opened his first restaurant. The food is consistently excellent served on hot plates with beautiful presentation. Many of the staff has been there many years. Staff friendly but needs to be more attentive. When asked for a veggie substitution there was an automatic NO when I know that is possible. Finally got... I went here with a friend on a Saturday night in March 2013. I hadn't been before, and a friend who has been said "let's go there". Well I had no idea how under-dressed we were (he should have known). The food and menu is quite nice. Great pastas, meats, etc. I think they are too pricey for what you... More

My husband and I live in Plano, and Ruggeri's at Preston Road and Frankford is one of our favorite dining choices. We go on a regular basis, and it has been excellent every time. The service is excellent, and they are very accommodating if you want food prepared a bit different than listed on the menu. Start with an appetizer... More

OK Northern Italian food. Very popular with the 40/50+ crowd. Expect the old favs. Chicken Parm--Veal Oscar etc. and the usual pasta dishes. Sauces--pretty heavy and gooey and "garlic bread" offered as if it is an appetizer. Prices are middle of the road. Salads are fresh and inviting--Caesar's is rather bland and boring. Avoid the sweetbreads unless you enjoy chewy.... More

We ate at the Preston Road Italian Resturant for the second time last night. The owners did change but the quality has not. First time we ate there the wife and I had their Chioppino and it brought us back again. Our waiter on our first vist about a year ago was "Al" and we asked for Al on arriving... More
