We stopped by on our way home. Afrer we were seated it took over 15 minutes to get order taken & over 30 minutes to receive it. The chips were cold & stale even when we asked for new warm chips. The salsa was pure peppers & could not be eaten with chips. Throughout our meal, the whole resteraunt could... More
I and my family love their chips/salsa/orange dip. Even my 90+ years old mom loves them. I live in Corsicana, and when it comes to Mexican food, there are types of locals here... "Don Jose" lover, "La pradera" lover and OMI lover. I love spicy hot salsa and mayo taste orange dip, so I am OMI lover. I usually have... More
This cozy little place has nice tex-mex dishes and serves great margaritas at the right price at happy hour. I didnt take to the special sauce (seemed like a spicy mayo) for the chips but they had traditional salsa as well. Great service too!
Our waiter was the best of our experience at this restaurant. The food was okay. Not something to "write home about". The mysterious orange dip was ok, but would prefer salsa instead of orange, paparika flavored mayo. I had fajita chicken nachos which were the waiter's favorite. I wasn't too impressed, but I think I had the best food. My... More
Great Tex-Mex and wonderful orange dip. I always go thru two bowls of it. Have to remember not to fill up on chips, dip, and salsa before dinner. I really like the chicken enchiladas the best. They are made like no one elses, anywhere. You will see chicken, sauteed onions, and all kinds of stuff inside. Not just dry chicken... More
Old Mexican Inn has consistently good food and friendly service. Love their famous orange dip and margaritas are very good. Their recipes for the orange dip on the web but none I've found actually hit the spot.
There's always a crowd - good food, good bar, good service. Very popular with the locals and just a fun place to eat!
Worth the detour from IH 45 as well. Phillip has managed here for years. Food will be HOT and always good. Small quaint bar with six stools.
Let's be honest, Corsicana is short on good places to eat but the OMI is pretty reliable. We found the Guisa and beef fajitas to be good. Prices and ambiance are average. Kids are fine. When visiting family in Corsicana , we eat here.
