Good chicken sandwich

Cute little bakery with lots of goodies. I had the chicken sandwich, which was advertised on the drive up I-45. It was pretty good and proportioned well. I also tried the macaroons and muffins. Although there was a line 5-6 people deep, I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes. I would... read more

The tuna salad was very good but the soup was just OK. We tried the praline cookie (SO GOOD), sandy (good) and lemon cookie (just OK). The sample of their fruitcake did not impress me but I'm not a big fan. There's not a huge selection of restaurants nearby so we would probably stop again if we were there at... More

I've stopped at this particular Collin Street Bakery several times, and I've always enjoyed their cookies (Cherry Ice Box and Cinnamon Sugar, please!) and their lunch. This time on my trek from DFW to Houston I was early enough to stop for breakfast. Oh, heavens. This was delightful. We all had biscuit/sausage/egg sandwiches, and they were fresh and delicious. We... More

We always stop at Collin Street Bakery when we are going to or coming home from Houston on I-45. It makes a convenient place to rest and eat and load up on sweets. This is the first time we have been there around Christmas, however, and weren't sure if they were open. We were delighted to find them not only... More

Our bus-load of people stopped as several folks wanted to pick up fruitcakes for the holidays: all of us ended up buying at least one fruitcake! Plus bread, cookies and more! Fruitcakes are so moist and delicious.

Returning from a Cruise out of Houston, TX to the Dallas-Fort Worth Area and found ourselves in Corsicana, TX at lunch time. We knew of the Collin Street Bakery and gave it a chance. We were not disappointed. Our group of four not only had a great lunch, but we left with loves of their award winning fresh bread.

Been there many times but had lunch twice traveling by. The sandwiches are interesting, with fresh and different ingredients. The bacon and cheddar roll on the ham and cheese sandwich was more than yummy!!!! Don't pass by, stop and eat!!! P.S. The baked goods are to die for!!!

We stopped at Collin's Street Bakery on the way to Houston and got several difference kinds of cookies and brownies from the bakery, as well as some of the fruit cakes and specialty cakes. It's a larger store than I would have thought and their products are great, but it is very expensive. A pineapple cake the size of a... More

I was there after 2 pm so everything I purchased was buy 1 get 1 free. The pastries and tuna salad sandwich were tasty. Since I was a visitor to the area a couple of cookies were thrown in free. All staff were friendly.
