We love to grab chicken salad sandwiches, chips, and some cookies from Collin Street Bakery for a delicious working lunch. Can't beat the apricot pecan fruitcake ----OH MY ---- and I'm not known as a fruitcake fan. For an elegant party, such as a retirement reception, call ahead to order a beautiful Italian Cream Cake with crushed pecans pressed into... More

I tasted fruitcake once, MANY years ago, and forever wrote it off! That is until I had the famous original here :) I enjoyed the sample so much I bought one! While I'll never be a fruitcake connoisseur, this one is worth a try.

Okay....this is a MUST stop! From the moment you pull up in front of this beautiful building till you walk out the door opening your bag of goodies you just bought and sitting in your car getting cookie crumbs all over the interior of your car - you will be glad you stopped. The place is clean, smells wonderful, is... More

I frequent Collin Street Bakery twice a month in my travels and have for years. It is very clean, has the best roast beef sandwich ever, the coffee far exceeds Starbucks, and the bakery is very good. That's where it ends for the "good" part. If you order a sandwich, a couple dozen cookies to go, grab some other gifts... More

We have been going to Collin Street Bakery in Corsicana for years. We try to always stop in when passing through. I think the cookies are a little expensive for the size. The Apricot cake is the best anywhere. We were disappointed in the service we received. A darling young lady was our cashier. We purchased bottle drinks and requested... More

The chicken salad was delicious. It was fresh and crispy. It really satisfied us. We love the chocolate florentines.

We drove off the freeway into the town of Corsicana to enjoy the original Collin Street Bakery. Their fruitcake fame drew us in. Unfortunately, the person taking our order was either new or uninterested, because she got the order wrong. And I only ordered a dozen cookies. She packed the dozen cookies in a very large bag, which gave them... More

It's worth stopping here for a bakery treat. You can try a sample before you buy more cookies, and the breads are fresh and special. The prices are are great, Service is helpful. We like the cherry ice box cookies. Great pastries and cookies for gifts.

Stopped on the way to Dallas for lunch. Have had meals there many times before and never an issue. Something has changed there. We were told the sandwich special that was ordered could not be grilled. I could not understand why as it was a simple wheat bread sandwich that was grilled in the past. Person behind the counter had... More

Great for sweets lover. You'll see all kinds of pastries and cakes and pies and cookies here. I use their cake for gift time to time, ending up buying some for myself too.
