Gone, no longer in the business for making over priced hamburgers and other types of fast food. Service was slow, food semi tastey. Don't waste your time , head over to Lil Tex. I still can't under stand why a trip advisor review must be 200 charactors, and why their windows app sucks.

Some of the best burgers, fries, and onion rings in this area! Sadly, the owner has retired and the restaurant is now closed.

I liked Mel's, but they're closed now. What more can I say, apparently I need a hundred characters to say it's C-L-O-S-E-D

This restaurant has been closed for several months. Not much more to say about it than that. When it was open it was mediocre and overpriced. Also they didn't take credit cards.

The owners are overly proud of their food etc. The prices are outrageously high. They charge a dollar extra if you want to share a plate. That is too much for me.

The hamburgers are OK, but not near as good as Black Meg's. Having to pay for my wife to share my burger is foolish. Plus, the burgers are overpriced, especially for a small town. Won't recommend it.

I did not like this place- they make you pay extra to share. The burgers are ok- not as good as Black Meg. I would not recommend. Only thing has a nice atmosphere.

If you prefer a non-chain burger place, this would be it. The burgers are large and tasty. The fries are big enough to share and the onion rings are fantastic. Took my brother and sister-in-law from Friendswood, TX here some time ago. They really liked it too. If you have a small appetite, I recommend sharing the burger.

My husband and I stopped by to try the burgers mainly because it looked like an old fashioned burger joint from the 50's. The place was ok, the service was ok, the food wasn't bad, but our main complaint was that it was way overpriced for an area such as Copperas cove, TX. I could maybe understand the prices if... More

This place is definitely on the list for a great burger. And don't forget the loaded fries. The atmosphere is old school with lots of artifacts on the wall. We loved the food and the friendly staff!!
