Found it on TripAdvisor as we were staying nearby. Long line moving swiftly; instructions for first timers like us by the entrance, and a bbq chef getting what you wanted from the large grill. A great way to sample lots of dishes; all great! Myself and three teens/kids; all agreeing the food was excellent, the concept great (pay by weight),... More

This is the best barbecue place I've ever been to!! The brisket is tender and juicy. The ribs are so tender they fall off the bone. My children loved the sausage. No matter what meat you choice, you can't go wrong. It's a little pricey but worth every dollar spent!

Could not give this a very good because there is just better BBQ out there. But Hard Eight is still worth the visit. More of an experience than anything else. You snake your way through the food line and when it is your turn in front of the mass amounts of meat you order up, you pay by the pound.... More

Let me start this out by saying, I do not like BBQ and do not eat it. I was in Dallas for a business meeting and the meeting organizer ordered a catered lunch from this place. IT WAS AMAZING!!! They brought in tons of food to feed the crowd: chicken (which I ate and it was great), sausage, and beef.... More

When I'm in Dallas on business and stay near the airport, I try to make it here. Expect a wait to get in line to pass by a open pit and you point at the meat you want. Be careful, you pay by the pound and don't let your eyes fool you. Meat was good, I had ribs and brisket.... More

I've heard the hype from the guys at work about Hard Eight and how great the BBQ is there. I wasn't so impressed. The line was jumbled at the cashier and didn't move efficiently at all. When we finally got seated after getting drinks and beans I dug in. The brisket had good flavor but was a bit dry. The... More

The brisket was quite dry, but chicken quarter was very good. Nothing really stood out as excellent to me. Staff were very friendly.

This was my first time trying this restaurant and I am so glad I did. You select your meat outside and pay by the pound. Then you select your sides inside. I had turkey and my husband had sausage. Both are highly recommended. Also do not pass up the Mac and cheese. Sweet tea was good too. We got cherry... More

This was our first time at the Hard Eight. We were visiting from out of town for work. We enjoyed the whole experience with the exception that my chicken was dry. Lisa Gajdos stopped by our table to check on us and I just mentioned about the chicken being dry; she quickly wanted to know if she could get me... More
