Everything is excellent! Sandwiches are huge; half a sandwich is plenty. They use the finest high quality ingredients in everything. Soups, lasagne, spaghetti & meatballs are some of the best in town. Staff is courteous and efficient. This restaurant is definitely worth driving across town to experience; however, they are known to close for no reason out of the clear... More

Italian food is tough to rate but if you are looking for a family restaurant that has great ambience, this is the place. Staff was courteous and service first rate. They have some kick-butt specials for seniors for lunch which is why the parking lot is full. Come to think about it, if you assess popularity bythe size and occupancy... More

Papa Dante's has been around for as long as I can remember. I have eaten there many times over the years. I have always gotten great service. But the quality of their food has slowly gone down hill. I ordered the meat ravioli with the marinara sauce. I could not finish my meal. In a nut shell: the marinara sucked.

I had lunch here recently and enjoyed it. The sandwiches are excellent, with very fresh bread. I loved their sweet potato waffle fries. I did not order any Italian food, but I saw people who did, and I wasn't impressed with the way those dishes looked. I will probably stick with sandwiches at Papa Dante's. That being said - it... We love to eat here! A hidden gem in Converse. Each time we go the food is hot and delicious! We all fight for the garlic bread crunchy on the outside and chewy inside just the way it should be.

Papa Dante's has been doing business in Converse, Texas for a number of years which indicates that they must be doing something right. My family absolutely loves (most of) their sandwiches and my daughter swears by their Fettucini Alfredo. Overall it is at least for my family and I, an avrage Italian eatery that just happens to have a very... More

Lots of choices for hot and cold sub sandwiches. Full size portions. The half sub will suit almost everyone. Their lunch specials served with garlic bread are also excellent. Always plenty of choices. This place is not fancy but it is good food. Beats the heck out of all those chain restaurants!

Don't expect to be seated with some fresh complimentary bread at the table while you wait for service. If you want bread you buy garlic bread. Nothing free at this restaurant. One olive per salad. They probably count the specks of grated cheese. Pizza is very poor due to lousy crust. Some good food and nice cake selection. A lot... More

This restaurant fits the bill. If you are in need of competently prepared Italian food, served by a friendly staff at a good price, then look no more. When I visit my family that lives in the area, I always look forward to eating here.
